My "Indestructible" Phone
I have a Sony Ericsson K800i and it has amazed me.
(Thats what it looks like new)
I have had this phone for 2½ years. I have done so much to it, and it STILL has not broke.
I have dropped it from an average height of 5 ft (152cm) way too many times. Accidentally and on purpose.
I have used it in heavy rain
I have THROWN it too many times, from anger and boredom.
and it STILL WORKS!
Some main "death" moments are:
>2 Years ago, i was doing a drama sketch in school. I pretended to get angry with my phone, and throw it at the floor. What I was going to do is pretend throw, so you stop before you throw and just drop it. That didn't happen. I launched it at the floor. I thought it was dead and so did everyone else. It still worked.
>YESTERDAY at school, just before lunch, my friend Luke ( Luke8D is his Sharenator Name) kicked my pocket. This pocket had the phone in it. And a can of coke. There was this loud pop, and my pocket suddenly felt wet. The can exploded. It split down the side. It went all over my phone. At the time it STILL worked, even though drenched. 30 min later, after I had my lunch, it was turned off. I turned it on and the low battery light was on, but they battery meter was full (!). I went to type in the Unlock code, and none of the number buttons worked. Then the 5 worked. My phone password contains the numbers 2,3,7,8,9 (not in that order, and there is 8 digits anyway). All those numbers worked except the 7. So i couldn't use my phone. When I got home, i started World of Warcraft, put my phone on the laptop keys, and shut the lid on it, making a phone sandwich. I used the laptop heat to dry it internally. Still, no fix.
I followed instructions from Howcast on How to fix a Wet Cell Phone and i took the battery and SIM out. Popped the battery and phone in an airtight box with 2 packs of Silica Gel (them little white packets in packaging that say "Throw away, Do not eat".) Silica gel absorbs moisture, so placing it in an airtight box will mean any water that evaporates will be absorbed. I have just checked my phone, and it works PERFECTLY*!
» Yes luke... IT WORKS! Its STILL indestructible! «
*It still works apart from some minor things...
>The earpiece is slightly dented, so it vibrates on the speaker, making a horrible tinny noise.
>The video call camera is in funny colours**
>The camera slider should start camera when you open it. It doesn't, so you have to go to camera from main menu.
** I'm English, colour is spelled with a U. This complicates HTML coding though, as i keep typing colour, but in HTML you have to write color. Who else noticed that? Annoying Huh?

Ive got LG pop 5210, works beautifully. getting a tough outer shell case thing just in case I drop it any more though.
i have a blitz.it is indeed the worst phone ever! i have gone through 3 phones ever since ive had it.
problems
>no sound what so ever when someone calls me
>had to get 3rd phone because all the buttons stopped working
>had to get 2nd phone becausescreen would randomly go white and sometimes shut off
my dad was holding my phone for me and he raised it up in the air over his head(he was far ahead of me) so i took off running towards him to get it and i jumped up (still running) to snatch it out his hand and i slapped it out his hand it fell 6 and a half feet hit the ground and skidded....then after i picked it up my sisters phone fell out her pocket and hit the ground too...then my dad just threw his down

Aha my sister had that phone. It broke :D
My old phone was a Sony Ericsson and got dropped from about 10 ft and didn't die, which was fairly impressive as it had a nasty habit of breaking every hour or so :) it actually seemed to fix it for a while :P

If you really want me to break it...i will shoot it for you. Then we will see how indestructible it is. And i will pour fish juice on it. The bullet may not kill it, but the inevitable, eternal fish/vagina smell will be there forever.
oh mine sort of fell apart. pop the case back on and its fine
repairs are overpriced. the w580i for example (the first shakey walkman fone), the screen broke on mine. you take the front off, lift up the screen, pull the plug out, buy a new screen (about £10 / $15 new on ebay) plug in the new screen, place it in the screen area, pop the front on and its done. its as complicated as changing batteries in the tv remote. Yet people will charge £50 / $80 to do that for you.
i down rate you because of your leet speek. i uprate you because they are indeed the best. so you stay the same.
Wow. I try not to throw my phone so yeah...
