What I would like to do eventually is build myself a home theater super computer.

Imagine:
A processor with 12 cores that runs stable at at least 4GHz and can be easily overclocked to almost 9GHz (yes it IS possible with a liquid nitrogen cooling system).
3 Overpowered graphics cards on a 3-way SLI setup.
64GB or DDR3 RAM at 2600MHz
1500W PSU
256 GB SSD
at least 3 TB of HDD storage
A shit ton of LED's to make it look fucking awesome
A mobo to support EVERYTHING.
And then to top it off. 6 monitors. All 1080p. 3 on top, 3 on bottom, wall mounted, and a 7.1 surround sound system.

THAT... would be fucking awesome.

what exactly is 7.1? and you know you can get almost all of this today, like most of this exists currently. Though the SSD will be a buttload of money lol. That does sound quite awesome though. my dream is quite similar

to be more basic:
6 monitors like you said
overall good and well equipped computer
but i want to be able to control everything from a touchpad, through my computer. ive been researching those universal touch pads that can control your whole house and such, thats the shit i want. Add that to your entertainment system and we are in heaven =P

I know I can get all this stuff right now. But I'm out of money atm xD

7.1 is pretty much just overdone 5.1 surround. Unnecessarily much.

what would be even better for the monitors is if they were seamless. then I could use that as my TV as well.

I just tried taking apart an old monitor and removing the frame. It still sorta works, but I think I may have damaged one of the pieces because the backlight doesn't work and the computer doesn't know it's their. :( Plus it's an eyesore. :/

As in regards to your monitor, what you probably did was short circuit the inverter, which is the most delicate part of the entire monitor. thus explaining why your computer doesn't acknowledge it as a monitor. (this isn't 100% accurate since I'm not there to actually look at it) You can find a replacement inverter for fairly cheap, most likely around $15 - $25.

If you use a liquid nitrogen cooling system, you'd need a separate PSU for the cooling system, and it would be bulky and require a lot of modification to the case, and all in all, there is a higher risk with liquid nitrogen than with regular liquid cooling, and honestly regular liquid cooling is more efficient, and 9Ghz, is honestly too overpowered, and from the looks of your dream build a 1.5Kw PSU isn't going to be enough, you'll be draining power so fast, and plus, if you have any PSU over 1.2Kw, you have to have a special outlet installed in your house, and you'll be drawing about $20 per day in energy, JUST for the computer.

Since I can't reply to the other comment I'll just reply here. I've gone into more detail about my monitor in this thread -->boards.4chan.org/diy/res/130164
I've put most of the metal surroundings back together and I'm a lot closer to getting this thing working than I was before.

Documents > Rainmeter > Skins > (skin you're using) > file.ini. Open up that file for each individual layer of the skin then just find the line of code you need to change and do it. I see you have some programming experience, so you should be able to figure it out.

oh so its all done in notepad and rainmeter loads that file in to change its settings. i see. So that allows for quite a bit of customization eh? now i just need to learn it lol

you can also right click the specific skin and hit "Edit Skin" and it will open up the .ini file for you.
Make sure you back it up before you start customizing though, lol.
