Welcome once again.
Im am planning on purchasing an ipad this year for christmas because the current laptop i am using is slowly dying on me and my ipod touch has just died
So i just wanted to know if anyone has one, If so what do you think of them ? I personally love apple products the easy to use, stylish , modern and far better than other similar products on the current market
So yeah the ipad i am planning on getting is the 16GB + Wifi

Beasty is right, if a little dramatic. The iPad is a poor piece of technology. If you insist on buying something like it then look at the alternatives, you can get something twice as good for half the price. Don't get sucked in by fashion, especially if you're trying to replace an actualy laptop

The iPad to me is a pointless thing really. It doesn't really work as a computer and doesn't have the full function of an iPod touch or iPhone.
So DO NOT EVER buy an iPad as a replacement for a computer.
However, if you have the spare cash and want a bit of entertainment that has a larger screen than an iPod, go ahead and buy it.
But I would personally wait for the 2nd Gen of iPad. It will probably have cameras (for the introduction to FaceTime to all Apple products), and the 3G model might even have a bit of iPhone functionality too.

yep.. the ipad is truly useless compared to a netbook.
but then again, netbooks are pretty useless too. They look nice and useful but really they are crap.
My friend had one and it too 1 MINUTE to load a single youtube page. Just the page. Not the video, JUST THE PAGE ITSELF!!
I know its still rediculously expensive but if i had the money and wanted a netbook, i would get a macbook air, because the newer models are at least slightly useful. Infact, the 13 inch model has a higher resolution screen and BETTER GRAPHICS than my MacBook Pro from LAST YEAR. It also has an equally fast processor, and although not as much storage, it uses Flash storage, which in this case is a dis-assembled SSD.

to be honest, i was ready to rip the shit out of it, because i hate little computers because normally they are crap, and the guy at the beginning made it sound like an apple product (look at videos on apple.com and you will see what i mean).
But honestly, that thing is the most awesome looking shit i have ever seen! Thats so clever how the keyboard changes to the UI. Sweet!
