I'm a Critic in Music (New edit)
I have always knew that I was a critic. So i issue a challenge. U post your favorite song on this post and I will rate it on a scale of 1 to 10. I WILL have decimals if needed. The song with the highest rank gets 99% on my next post (I actually haven't given anything out in a while just FYI). So, good luck!
November 1, 2011: I made this post out four months ago and because my dad broke my laptop, I wasn't able to finish. I can't do it at school either because they blocked youtube. I will make a new update later on when I get a new laptop and will let you know when I will judge these entries. In the meantime, you can still post songs while I wait for a new one.

every time i hear this song i have a desire to take out a lighter and wave it in the air.
Just rating a song does not make you a critic AT ALL. You need to give justified reasons and explain them in great detail. If that was the case then lots of guys would be critics because they rate girls. In otherwords, no you are not a critic.
Don't downrate the guy for voicing an opinion guys...
if you liked all music equally then that would mean all your ratings would be the same leaving the ratings useless ;)
LOL. nice catch. I meant i like all types of music. There fixed.
Well obviously you are comparing them to something. It is impossible to stay purely bias free. If you were to judge music you can't say all music because something great by your standards isn't everyone's. I could have posted music that are great compositions from Bach, Beethoven, or Mozart, and you're telling me you would have judged them fairly? I call bullshit. No offence to you but not matter how fair you try to keep it.Bullshit.
The first one I would rate a 6.75
The second would be a 7.75
Well Done.

one of the greatest song in the world so i expect very high markings. i'll explain why i think this should be after you rate and comment.
this second song has a completely different feel to it but has all the makings of a great song. it also has very high expectations from me and should be rated very highly

I'll agree with ertov, Hollywood undead? Seriously?
you guys need to learn to listen to the song and not judge it based off the artist personally i love the band and many of their songs but this one is by far their best one. you may not enjoy the style but i do. this song is great mainly because i can picture a story as it plays. they are a great and this is my all time favorite song. so basically

I'll give three reasons why they're music sucks. (there are more but I'm feeling nice)
1. They can't sing without autotune. I've heard they're live performance before, it's murder on the ears.
2. The music is the same unoriginal crap lyrics and rhythms that have been done over and over.
3. White guys can't rap. And I'm white, so I know we can't rap.

I beg to differ on the 3rd reason.
I disagree with that as well. Music is music. Every genre has it's pros and cons.
Lol. The mainstream media has done its damage to music. But trust me, there's plenty of great music no matter what genre. And yes, that includes rap. =]

they can and have. I've listened to the live performance videos and they were great and though i have not been able to see them live i have heard accounts of it all telling me they were great.
they don't even come close to using the same beats over and over so clearly you've only heard like three of their songs tops. not only that but they have a great variety in their song types ranging from hard metal rap to this to a couple very deep emotional songs. never judge a band based on just two or three songs because not every song may suit what you listen to regularly. nearly every band has at least one or two songs that are enjoyable if not good or even great songs you can like.
white guys can't rap? this has to be a joke. the reason that this is even said is because of the stereotypical racial roles that are set by society. any person can rap as long as they put a shit load of effort into it. i do admit it normal doesn't look to impressive when a white guy raps but that can be said for many black people as well. the reason for this stereotype is because not many white rappers have "made it". this argument could be made for black men not being swimmers but you don't hear people go i can't swim im black. no they shut up and do it because they aren''t retarded a learn to.
now as for rap not being music. unfortunately for you this is not true. right now rap is at it's low point and is now switching to a dance pop thing. this happened to rock as well. many people say that rock was best in the beginning with the original artists such as the beetles metalica and acdc. well the same can be said for rap. ice cube tupac and notorious big. these were some of the leaders of the rap game and are highly regarded in the field as the best of the best. this is what you have to listen to to understand raps core. not this crap that only talked about getting laid and partying. listen to the stuff that told a story. listen to what they have to say about life and it's lessons. they are the original and they were the best.

I have actually listened to all three of their albums, so I know what I'm talking about. Most of the songs are just about sex and drinking, and the 'serious' ones are laughably over the top "emo". And no, they are not original, this has all been done before.
I love it, all i have to do to get you to agree with anything is get you to agree with yourself. No one loves you as much as you love you huh. I love how quickly you stop trying to defend your point of view and instead worry about my ass. Now that you have mentioned my ass i wonder how often you think about my ass. Do you have a yearning to put a poll up people's ass? its ok if your gay but please keep your homosexual dreams about other men to yourself.
Son I have forgotten more about star wars than you will ever know. you are the one who mentioned a game and not the movie as one of the best fights of all time. you have every right to your wrong opinion, but i know there best star wars has to offer is in the original, not a game. you so far have mentioned a game, and said nothing about the original. if all you know about star wars is what you have played in a game, i understand your point of view. you should watch the movies some time 1-3 are ok, have more plot holes than your logic, but 4-6 are the bomb. watch them and learn some time. you might enjoy them. and remember young one, knowing is half the battle.
Ok, I know you're trying to make me angry, but this time, you did it. If there's one thing I know, it's Star Wars. I can quote every line from Empire Strikes Back, I've read the complete encyclopedia cover to cover (to cover to cover to cover to cover since there are 3 volumes), I own and have read the vast majority of the novels (and since I'm assuming you've never read one, that's a lot) I have a collection of over 1000 action figures, some autographs, a ton of other memorabilia, I've seen George Lucas in person, as well as Mark Hammil and Carrie Fisher, met Peter Mayhew, played KotOR more times than I can count, and even joined the Jedi Church for shits and giggles.
So if you're going to criticize me, I suggest you do not try to use Star Wars, you kark-eating nerfherder. E chu ta.

I think the problem hereis you seem to think the point of the movies were the battles. The reason the original trilogy was great was because of it's story. Yeah the battles weren't as good, but that's not the point. Look, clearly you don't understand the point of Star Wars.

yet you mention a game and not the movie. see how your actions do go along with what you say... tisk tisk tisk. you know star wars so well, yet you don't mention the movie as the best fight ever. its almost like you have never seen the movies before and only played the games. what a waist.
If the movies where focused on the story, then why would they posses the most epic battle? Also some of the video games are pretty epic.

awww thats sucks trading yesterday was a way better name for the band anyways i'll take a look at the songs :D i hope they're all just as good as shattered was!
Love Song Requiem is certainly on the same par, you'll enjoy that one the most. The others are great, but not on the same level. Anyways, enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to keep me posted! :D
1: Very Nice song. I give it a 9.5
2: It was good. Lacked Power. 8.75

I'm guessing he hasn't and I will also deem judging music as a whole impossible. Mainly because you cannot keep an unbiased mind you would 1) need something to compare it to and 2)need actual requirements for a 'good song'.
(in my other comment I called bullshit on this whole thing.)

yea i think that musically speaking (not personally because young is still my all time favorite song) hey jude is the superior of the two. based on tastes though i can see how he would rank it lower than young. He let personal tastes get in the way instead of looking at it objectively. though young is much better than you make it out to be :P personally if i were looking at this it would be close but i think young would have a slight advantage from me because im a bit bias towards that song lol.
agreed on the 9.5 but i think the second song is more of a music based power rather than lyrically. the song about half way through the music picks up and becomes incredibly powerful which adds an enormous amount to the song. i like the rating i just think you need to explain the reasoning.
Ya. Lot's of problem with the song. screw your 10/10 rating ertov. This song gets a 3 hands down.
Also, who isn't a critic? Not hard to criticize and judge things.
Both songs are kinda the same, so im gonna give them the same rating. That is an 8.75
Can I give a "Flawless Victory" rating?
1: It was an ok song, i give it a 7.75
2. Honestly, his music is alright. It's him that sucks! I give it a 6.
2. Honestly, his music is alright. It's him that sucks! I give it a 6.
Not as good as The Devil went Down to Georgia, but he kept it going for 8 freakin minutes. ill give it an 8
I liked the drawings! The song was pretty good too. it gets an 8
Pretty long songs, but worth it. numba 1 earns a 7.5 and numba 2 earns a 7.75
Her voice was obviously remixed and even then, it still doesnt sound that good. It's rated a 5.25
5.25?! you must be crazy, I'd say a 2 at the HIGHEST
Well let's just try something a little different....
25 and a half minutes of my life wasted before my eyes. But they could play for that long and for that, we thank you! I give it an 8.5
i'll give you a few as i can't really choose which one i think's the best
in case you haven't guessed, i absolutely love Nightwish
