Idea for the site..

I was browsing through the good old Sharenator the other day and i came across a topic with other 10,000 views. And I got an idea, how about for ever 10 or so views from un-regeistered viewers the person who posted the topic recieves a point? (+1)..
Or a guess system that can split the regiestered users from the normal viewers. This way more points can be spread out the site with more views..

Just a thought Btw, i am also going to be posting a new topic soon :D.

I'm not sure, it's a fine idea. But points are there to measure the quality of the post, not the number of views. what if loads of people look at it but none of them like it?

Maybe a code where if older posts are looked at a certain number of times they're bumped up to the front page.

Yeah, the IP's will conflict and only one set of points will go through..

It would be cool if there was a list of most viewed posts so you could see what's popular at the moment.

Yeah great for The £10 Breakfast!!! I have 303,448 views.
So at 1 point per 10 views I'd have....... SHIT LOADS!

Yeah I Link That, But Also As More People View The Chosen Topic The Views For Points Goes Up, As Math Said Below His Topic Has 303k Views For Him To Get Another Points It Would Cost Him 25,000 More Views..
    Or Something Along Those Lines.

This is a good idea, because of all the people that get on sharenator at my school, I am the only person with an active account.

That would be pretty hard to code (speaking as a web coder myself, then again i don't understand how the whole ratings code was done. Maybe Darrius will shed light on it some day...)
