So my 3 month old pitbull puppy loves to tear up my furniture or anything laying out whenever he is left alone. Just this morning he tore my couch apart during the 10 minutes I was in the shower. I have no idea what to do to get him to stop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

try some lead travelling at high speed that will stop him.

Try using Febreeze on your stuff... liberally. Generous amounts. Both my cats and my past three dogs all hate the taste. PLus, it smells great. Other then that, discipline the puppy. Drag him to whatever it is he did wrong, hold his head towards it and say "See this? NO!" and tap him on the nose with a fair bit of force. Not enough to hurt him, just enough to either sting a bit or annoy him. Flicking works too, but be gentler about it. Repeat this two or three times and do it every time it happens. Puppies are smart and recognize patterns. Use the same technique for pooping, but put him outside after punishing him. Also, remember to play with him or reward him for good things to keep pit bulls happy. They are naturally aggressive, so you have to train them to be nice.

I have had lots of animals and as much as I loved them, moving has forced me to have to give all but my bearded dragon away.
