I need help for graduation and my birthday!!!

So my graduation is coming up in May. May 19th to be exact. And my parents have been asking me what I would like to have for graduation...but the thing is...I don't know what I want, besides money really. So I was wanting to know what are some things I should ask for, because I'm not sure myself.

Also, my birthday is in 13 days (as of 4/11/12) and, like my graduation gift(s), I don't know what I want. So some help with a birthday gift would be nice too. I'm going to be turning 18 if that will help out on any ideas.

All I've thought about getting/asking for was money, and maybe going to get some new clothes, but that's about all.

My parents don't have the money to buy me a car, they could most likely help me with it, like throw in a couple hundred dollars each. They are divorced, so that means I have to come up with 2 different ideas for presents.

And I almost forgot, I need some ideas for an after prom shirt. Prom is April 21st, 10 days away, and I still need to get after prom shirts for me and my date. This will be my first, last, and only prom of my life. It will also be my first, last, and only dance I've gone too in my high school career. So help with that would be much appreciated as well!

Sorry for being so needy, April is a busy time for me this year.

Well, thanks for reading this if you have, and your feedback will hopefully help me out!

Thanks! :)

    Ask for a hooker :)

And don't worry about not being able to dance cause no one in hs knows how to either so it'll just turn into a grindfest. At least thats how my school was. Not sure if prom is different I didn't go to mine cause it costed hella and I was broke back then.

Haha, I don't think my parents would buy me a hooker...lol. And our prom is like that, it's crazy from what I've heard. I don't really think the price is THAT expensive, it's only $50 for a couple, so that's not too bad. At least to me.

Damn! My prom was $200 for couple I think but even $50 woulda been too much for me back then I was livin all by myself in low income apt with no job :P

Yeah, the Junior class this year raised a lot of money, so that's why it's so cheap. I still live at home, and work at McDerp's, so I don't make a whole lot of money, but all the money I do make is put into the bank for me to save, besides when I go out to eat or need to pay my phone bill. I don't really have to worry about the cost of prom, it's gonna hurt spending that much money, but It's my first, last, and only prom ever, so it will definitely be worth it! :)

i don't know dude. most money i ever got for a birthday was $120. i don't really ask them for anything. most of my birthdays we usually have a cookout. doesn't cost more than $50 and most of my family is there, which is what counts to me. just ask for something you really like or are into.

as for the prom shirt i can't really help you there either. didn't go to my 8th grade prom or senior prom. it was a combination of me not knowing how to dance and being kinda shy to ask the girl out. i guess i didn't wanna be selfish and ask her out and have her being miserable just sitting down at the table the whole night cuz her stupid date doesn't dance. but i'm really happy for you, i hear it's one of the best nights of your life.

but you don't have to listen to me. i'm kinda real emotional right now and my emotions might make for crappy advice. anyways +3 so more people can help you out

Well my parents got my brother a $1000 laptop, that was back when they were that much for the "crappy" ones. But they went half on it, so $500 each parent. So I guess that's how much my spending limit is? Not really sure about that. And I'm at the point where I don't really do a whole lot except for work. it's not like I have a whole lot of free time anymore, so not a whole lot of things interest me, besides money, a car, and moving out.

Luckily my date to prom asked me to go with her. She's my friend and wanted to go, but didn't have anyone to go with herself, so she just asked me. I wouldn't of been able to do it myself because I'm really shy in person. And I have no idea how to dance, except for slow dances, but that's easy haha.

And I listen to everyone, even if they think their advice doesn't mean anything. +1 for you

trampoline, sports equipment, movies, jetski, or legos if you're still a kid inside. I'd go with the trampoline.

A trampoline would be too big hahaha, but that would be awesome! Jetski would be fun to have, but I'd have to have a truck to pull it, and I don't have any vehicle lol. And I'll always be a kid inside! :)

legos or a computer, or if your family is strapped for cash just ask them for a gift voucher redeemable at some point when they're not so broke.

as for the prom thing i'm strictly a cargo pants/t-shirt guy. they didn't let me in. it didn't help that i never paid for it, didn't bring a date, parked my truck right in front, and had a "small" knife on my belt... so yeah, can't do much other than saying black and dark red make a good combination.

I already have a computer, got that for Christmas last year(the most recent Christmas). And legos would be nice to have :)

I needed help with the after prom shirts, like the ones that me and my date wear that are related together somehow, and are funny or cute or something. But all the guys wear tux's on prom, so I don't need help with what to wear on prom, just after prom haha.
