How and when did you find this site?

I’ve been wondering how the rest of the Sharenator community first heard of this site and decided to join and just how long some people have been members.
The story behind how I joined started at school. When I was in year 11 (I don’t know what Grade that would be across the pond) there were many IT lessons where we had nothing to do or couldn’t be bothered to do the work set so we would always try and find a games website that wasn’t blocked by the schools, frankly, extremely annoying internet monitoring program (it doesn’t even let us on Wikipedia). While searching for a certain game, I forget which, one of my mates next to me had found that game on this website and it hadn’t been blocked. A few other people had found it too and over a few weeks, Sharenator was the website everyone used for games until the administrators found out and blocked it. At the time, I hadn’t thought of being a member and I probably hadn’t realised you could be. It was only when I started going on the site at home and a post came up that I wanted to comment on, that I became a member. That first comment was 8 months ago now though it really feels like I’ve been a member much longer than that.
That was my story, now let’s hear yours...

I was eating bacon at home when I suddenly had a revelation. It came to me in the form of a subliminal message. I saw the sharenator symbol in the grease from my bacon and decided to try and find out what it was. My only thought was to "share" this revelation with everyone I met. I kept googling over and over hoping I would find something until one day, after I had almost given up hope, the bacon spoke to me again. The thought form wasn't precise, nor was it clear. I kept thinking about a "Sharenation". So I decided to research this nations people, the sharenator's. That's how I found this place, that's why I'm here. I wish to spread the wonderous powers of bacon to the rest of the internet!

I found this site when I was a Junior(Year 11). I was in History class and we had laptops for research and I didn't want to do research for material I already knew and understood. I was playing games, but they sucked. Our school had many sites blocked and I didn't feel like unblocking one just for a single class sitting. So a guy that sat behind me let told me about a site he heard about that wasn't blocked called "Sharenator". I laughed a bit at the ridiculous punified name. I checked it out and enjoyed the games that were posted. So I continued playing games whenever I had a computer and downtime in class. After about a year of this, I decided to make an account. My first comment was over a year ago and first post was also over a year ago.

it seems most people have been referred to this site by other people... interesting

My story is near the same as yours, It was 11th grade and a global tech class I was looking for the game Apple Shooter because the guy in the game had a remarkable resemblance to my tech teacher. Eventually I found Sharenator with the game and had fun for the remainder of the class shooting the guy with an arrow and watching his blood spurt everywhere.

It was back in the year of 2008.. I'd just started college and after a month my motivation levels were already on the floor. So, on one fateful day, I was miserable about the blocks put on the college computers when suddenly, a miracle! Someone had found a site where we could play games and view pictures of a comedic nature without having the blasted 'blocked' page!

    It was a beautiful day.

Just looked, my first comment was 2 years ago... Wow..

lets see it was one day in the library my senior year (Grade 12) when i was supposed to be working on a major research paper for my english class. i was really bored and wanted to play an old game i remembered from freshmen year called champion archer. i was looking for it on google and this was like the 3rd link or something. i came on and started playing. a week later during the same class i decided to look around on the site. and found several more posts by ensx. later i started looking at the pic dumps and stuff and the funny ass comments left by SuDoku, ember, dawn and such and finally decided to make an account. my first post was about 9 months ago (holy crap) and first comment was 10 months ago and down rated for some silly reason. i thought it was funny :/

In 2008 a friend of mine (who claims to have been visiting the site since fairly shortly after its creation, but alas has now quit it seems) told some of his friends about it because they were able to go on in it school and play games. The site quickly spread from person to person in our school and I found out about it one IT lesson when nearly everyone in my class was playing Apple shooter (despite the teacher's best efforts to keep us on track). Not wanting to be left out, I decided to play the game and access the site for the other games it had. I didn't really think much of it for a while - other than just a way to pass time whenever we had access to computers in school. Sometime between Autumn '08 and Spring '09 I decided to make an account and started visiting the site at home as well as at school.
The popularity of it in my school died down after a while as people moved onto other unblocked sites (and as far as I can tell, there are only two people who have accounts on this site that go/went to my school).

Can't remember what year exactly, but it was in high school. Used to look up funny stuff online in study hall, and came across Sharenator. Eventually I made an account.

I was in my Drafting class at High School, my sophomore year (grade 10) and when I finished my project that I was supposed to do for that day I got online to try to look for a website that had good games on it, but my school blocks like everything, so it was nearly impossible. I got to a few sites, but they weren't cutting it, so i asked around my class, to see if anyone knew of a site with good games. One of my classmates suggested that I go to sharenator.com, when I got to it, I went straight to the games and I was amazed that it wasn't blocked by my school. That was over a year ago. I only got on at school, until one day I decided to get on at home, and when I did I became a member. After a while (month or two) I put my first post on here. Now I go here almost everyday looking at pictures.

    1. I seriously doubt anyone is going to just give points to you when you can't really prove that you and alucard are the same person.

    2. Paul and Darius are the only ones here who could either give you your password or reset your password to something else.

    3. Here's the kicker, this one's the most crucial.
