History of the site?
I kind of just stumbled in here one day, and I'm just wondering where this site came from. How popular is it? Who made it? Ya know, just the basic sort of stuff... I'm curious to see how sharenator got its start!

This website is less than two months old.
It's growing quite fast though. Over 100,000 unique visitors today (actually it's because some videos got really popular yesterday). We had to order some additional servers because we maxed out our 100mbit/s line and website started crashing. I'll tell you more about Sharenator once I finish setting up the server.

Well, I'm glad to be apart of something new and exciting, and I hope the site grows and becomes as popular as myspace or youtube! (+1 btw for satisfying my curiosity :P)

By the way, we're experimenting with commenting system. Comments are sorted by point count (better comments are in the top), so they go up when you vote for them. If you want to respond to some comment, just use "reply" button next to it - that way it won't get lost when somebody upvotes the parent comment.

Sharenator created the idea of a site where anyone and everyone could share anything and everything that was on their mind with others. :) I love those words.
We'll add filters to "featured all" and "board all" soon. So flashes will not bother some our users soon. We'll also upgrade the navigation so we hope board will be more active. So our society should filter good posts by rating them.
Sorry about delays but our team is conflicting lately so it's hard to work when we disagree on so much things. But things got better today and we thought some new great ideas.

So, how long is Sharenator going to be in the beta stage?
As long as Team Sharenator is adding new features (which I'm sure they have a few other things they want to add), it will continue to be in Beta

How many members do you guys usually get per month?
I love the site because it's one of very few that I can access through my work internet (They block almost every other site). Not sure how this one is accepted...dig it though.
Well here in my school (yes I am still in Highschool...), they pretty much block all of the game and proxy sites, but by downloading firefox and an app that changes your IP address, I can get through anything :)
This is the only game site that isn't blocked at my school. So a lot of your traffic comes from the flash games I'm sure. At least 50 people visit this site on week days from my school alone. That doesn't include the people from the other schools in my county.

Well, tell them to create accounts and post whatever random things they find across the net! This site already has hundreds of games on it already. Just click on view new posts, and then click flash to see the hundreds of flash games NOT featured!
i have been studying sharenator for a year and i never knew that paul i have been wanting to become a member but i had so many websites i had to help and deal with i didnt have time but one day i fannaly quit a website i was helping out i had more time so i became a sharenator member
it is amazing how sharenaor has become over these months and new members like me heve got a chance to become a member and check out everything that has happened. even though i have known this website ever since it started. i finnaly became a member and made posts but at first i didnt know how to make posts (which explains why i dont have anything on a few pics)but i got the hang of it .and now members like me have created new videos and pics and it feels great to be apart of it
C'mon now... Where did the real imcool go? This HAS to be an impostor... An Impostor who actually speaks legit english and uses correct grammar! In fact, screw the old Imcool... This one is much better to deal with! Oh, and hate to burst your bubble, but you haven't even created anything on this site, and all your posts suck since you post stupid stuff and call people gay in your comments.

Lol you asked how long sharenator will be in beta, they said a month... been in beta for over 2 years after that. Sharenator should definently leave beta, it will grow much faster

I came up with this website idea 2-3 years ago but back then I was too busy working in Vilnius (Lithuania) and then studying to develop it. Oh, and I was too lazy, too.
I told Darius (who is probably the best programmer in the Universe) about this and he agreed to join me. We wanted to finish developing this website as soon as possible (and since we're studying, it's not that easy), so we started looking for office - a place where we could come after school/studies and work on the project. Mindze helped us on that, we've got a really nice office very cheap.
We've started working in the end of summer, 2007. So it took us 6-7 months to develop the first version of website. We had many new ideas along the way, so we had to adjust the script.
We've also got a lot of help from Luka (he's a very good designer from Poland) and Shaun from UK.
2 months ago Sharenator was launched. It's still on beta, we have a lot of bugs to fix, add new features, etc., but I'm really happy it's already growing.
