High School Soccer...
So apparently the coach thinks some kid thats a junior is better then me, when the kid has never played travel or soccer until high school. I've been playing soccer since I was 4 and travel since i was 9. Im a sophomore now. Whenever he plays me I always work hard and produce positive plays. The other kid does work hard but doesnt know what to do with the ball when he gets it. We both play outside left back and im a lefty while the other kid is a righty. Does anyone have any idea why the coach would rather start him over me?

He's an asshole and he's probably playing favoritism. Keep fighting for the spot.
Thats what my stepdad and I thought he has his favorites and their the kids that suck up to him. I dont suck up to anyone and I not about to just for some ahole coach. Im I didnt play good during our first few scrimages, but that was because 2 indian kids who are his favorites were harassing me. I finally started to play good and this happened. On top of it today I overheard him say that he though the kid was better then me.
My coach did the same thing, except the kid i was replaced with was younger. I played soccer for 9 years and was a fantastic goalie. The only reason I can think of is that he wants to give the other guy some more playing time. Is he replacing you for important games?
Sounds like you know what you are doing, and have the experience to back you, but when it comes to a real game situation you don't do as well as the other kid.
