Has anyone noticed on sharenator?

*NOTE I'VE ALREADY POSTED THIS, AND I AM TRYING TO REPOST IT FROM MEMORY; SOMEONE DELETED IT AND I DON'T THINK IT'S FAIR IF ONE OF THE MODERATORS TO ABUSE THEIR POWERS. TELL ME IF THEIR IS SOMETHING I HAVE ON THIS POST THAT HAS BROKEN THE SHARENATOR TERMS OF USE. PLEASE HELP BECAUSE Y0U WOULD GET MAD IF SOMEONE DELETED YOUR POSTS.*

I've been on the unrated post section on Sharenator and lately I've been finding many spam posts. They are usually about something like applying for as a medical specialist in India, joining a church, or something in complete gibberish. No, I don't mean one of castlewarsisawesome's posts, I mean that they are completly written in a different language. The languages I've seen so far are Tamilian Hindi and German. I have a solution to the growing problem of spam posts on Sharenator. Is there a way that new members would have to gain a certain amount of points attained from commenting to begin posting. I believe that this will work because if they try to spam many comments we would rate them down, then they wouldn't be able to reach the amount of points necessary to post anything. Can anybody help me. Paul, Darius?

Here are examples of the spam posts i've found they have been deleted though. Thank You:)

damn spam

damn spam4

damn spam3

damn spam2

IF IT WAS AN ACCIDENT THAT THIS POST WAS DELETED PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I'M WORRIED WE MAY NOT HAVE A TRUSTWORTHY MODERATOR ON THE SITE, AND YOU'RE POSTS MAY BE NEXT.

Ask jakematsui he probably remembers this post. Please let me know why you think my post was deleted. :(

I deleted it because you making a post about spam is UNNECESSARY. Just report it and it will get handled. Already today I've had to forward 2 spam accounts to Paul and Darius so they can IP ban the accounts. Just press the report button and it will be taken care of.

As for your idea on a required amount of points needed to post, I think it has been discussed in the past, and it was rejected. But that discussion is how Mods were created and put into effect. Like I said, just report them and let us mods take care of it.

I was wondering how one becomes a Mod?

you have to have a certain amount of points to become a mod? I always thought it was an amount of time on the site.

No, Paul and Darius trust established members to be mods. What I was saying is that we had an issue of spam before, and it was suggested that members needed a required number of points in order to post topics, but that was before Moderators were created. We felt that it would be bad restricting members, so Mods were created to police and clean up the site.

    gibberish.
    castlewar.
    lol

anyway, It really isn't that big of a problem, there are usually only one or two of these spam posts at a time, and I always just report them and they are taken care of fairly quickly.

We just need to worry about the spammers getting smart and uprating themselves to the frontpage, which would be far more annoying.

that y i report then down rate.
