Just wanted to make a post thanking all the men and women who have served, and also a shoutout to all my close friends I know in the Army and Marines that are in the Afghan now. Give thanks to those who have served.

What is veterans day in America. In the UK we have Remembrance day for the armistice being signed in 1918, is it the same for you or is it just a general day for all wars?
Right back at you - I know you are in the corp, Bacon , so I have nothing but love and respect for you. Johnecash and I have our own little battle about the Corp vs. Army but its like I said before I have nothing but RESPECT and admiration for any fellow serviceman no matter what branch .....
Happy Armistice Day (from the UK)
My Great Granddad helped liberate a concentration in Belzec in Poland in at the end of WWII. RIP.
Also my Grandpa died last year and was involved heavily in the local RAF associations and was a former RAF soldier. RIP.
Unfortunately, our 2 minute silence at 11am GMT was marred by disrespectful so called 'Muslims' who burned a poppy and deliberately did not honour the tradition, holding signs saying 'British Soldiers burn in hell'.
They were up in arms when there was a threat to burn the Koran. They've just pretty much the same and insulted an entire nation of people almost all of whom have been affected by war in their past at some point. You've not helped your cause.
