Mizuno - replied 2010-02-02 23:55:29+1not the people to help, if ppl want to help its their choice, but the prompt is: Why shouldnt the US Gov help? i thnk they shouldnt help because when an entire gov helps, it always ends up being politics. Just as with Persian gulf war and the Iraq, our good intentions are seen as a negative consequence by the natives. We are only doing this to improve our public image. Clinton was quotes as saying that Now because of this Earthquake, gov.around the world can finally pay attention to that denied all public assistance a while ago. I believe that if we DONT help, Haiti would be better off cause through this natural catastrophe, they can finally pull their infrastructure back together.
