But do you really expect a racist to realize straight away that Native Americans are not actually immigrants?
I'm truly sick and tired of people making racist comments at people of a different race. This problem is not just out of control in America. I live in Australia and it's every where I look. I hear people yelling out of car windows for someone to "go back where they came from". Australia is one of the most multicultural countries there is, and all of our population that is not white were actually born and raised in Australia. I really wish people would stop and think. Do that not realizes that they are poisoning the planet with there hatred of other cultures.
I just wish there were something we could do to fix the problem of racism, for our children's sakes.
Just like to add that I am 16 years old and a high school student.

I would just like to say two things:
It is really unfortunate that racists have spread their hate on a forum built around a comic that is satirically critical of prejudice. I applaud everyone who said something critical of these ignorant people that don't know that they are hurting people.
On the other hand, the user "whitey" made a good point: prejudice is an illness. These racists don't realize the evil they speak. It will only be through calm education that we can hope to cure their sickness. Calling them "rednecks" is nearly a racial slur itself (although on this forum it appears to be a self-inflicted label that they appreciate), and we should just try to show them that they are wrong instead of calling them expletives.
PS After writing this and coming to my last conclusion in the above paragraph, I had to go back and remove 2 curse words. I wish that racists weren't so good at making me angry at them. We need to work to cure them.

The point is that in times past, the majority of immigrants assimilated into American society. Today, they seem to be trying to change America to be like their old homeland. Immigration by people who want to become Americans (as opposed to African-American, Chinese-American, etc.) seems pointless. As long as the immigrant wants to be called "Country-of-origin-American" they ought to go back to their country of origin until they want to be AMERICANS.

The Cold War had the arms race, World War I and II brought us machine guns, nuclear technology, et cetera. In due time, when the people of this planet are no longer ignorant to the fact that globalization is the only tool to bring about World Peace, new innovations will be discovered through cooperation and The Cause, meaning to solve worldly problems such as famine or the energy crisis. We need immigration, not only for our economic status but for further innovation.

Forget all the who belongs to where and who owns what. It is perfectly healthy to "take a dip in the gene pool" and mix up the chromosomes. A thoroughbred race breeds severe trait complications. Youll find if you bred all races on earth together you wouldnt form a mixed bag of weaker traits but a dominant collection of traits that would eradicate all of the weaknesses posessed by each individual race. Interbreeding of races is only way to ensure positive progress of the human race as a whole. Actually, in the case of human beings, we did evolve into the same species across continents.
Because of the mobility and restlessness of homo sapien sapiens, we didn't all just go leave Africa, find a nice place, and stay put. Quite the opposite, actually. That is what makes tracking mitochondrial DNA so difficult: we kept growing, mixing, traveling, growing, mixing, traveling... Eventually, all strains of our special ancestors died off and the one species that survived was a mix of all kinds of various ethnicities, and the same species covered the entire planet. All human beings are the exact same species, which took a long time to happen. However, don't expect that this will ever change as traveling and mixing with other people the world over is even easier now. Maybe one day the entire world will be of one ethnicity and racism won't be a problem anymore.
I kind of doubt it, though: racism is really just a product of people being generally hateful and finding scapegoats. We have been discriminating based on gender, sexual orientation, and a million other things seemingly forever.
Actually, I hope we always still have some sense of ethnicity so we can appreciate our heritages and culture. Hopefully one day there will be no racism, but not because there is only one ethnicity.

It may be of some interest, the native Americans are actually descendants of Abraham. Crazy, huh? I have no problem with different races living in different countries. My only request is that they follow the laws of the land, speak the language and be a positive force in their new found home. Don't go flying a German flag in Sweden if you decide to live there. Be a Swede. Be a part of the country you live in. (legally) If I go to Lithuania, I had better learn Lithuanian. I should not expect them to learn English. I should fly the Lithuanian flag and pay Lithuanian taxes and BE Lithuanian. Simple concept. A lot of work, but right.
I can't believe that someone intelligent enough to think about this problem actually missed the point completely.
However as far as the last few centuries are concerned it is correct. It was probably intended for a broader audience, not necessarily one aware of the basis of human civilization. If you want to get into even pickier, they should all go back to Africa, where the oldest human remains have been found. Also,convergent evolution(in which species separated by geography evolve the same adaptions to the same ecological niche) doesn't give rise to the same species.

this forum is full of people trying to prove each other wrong....which is basically another form of prejudice. actually there's archaeological evidence dating back 10,000 years that Native American people have been here. forget all the who belongs to where and who owns what. it is perfectly healthy to "take a dip in the gene pool" and mix up the chromosomes. a thoroughbred race breeds severe trait complications. youll find if you bred all races on earth together you wouldnt form a mixed bag of weaker traits but a dominant collection of traits that would eradicate all of the weaknesses posessed by each individual race. Actually, the reason for that is because the judicial system itself is racist. All things being equal, the prison population would reflect the actual population of the area, which it doesn't. A minority person is more likely to go to jail for a crime than a white person who has committed the exact same crime.

True America was once British colonies, which means that at the time it was the British and other nations that were part of the colonies(such as France, my home country) that forced the Natives of the land off their land, not the Americans as they are seen today. Views of the past in countries shouldn't be viewed on how they act in the present. Basically making judgments of how they were because of how they are now. Because in the early stages of America's growth, the people still held onto their old customs like the French lived among other French and held onto our customs. Only in the past 100 years did the Americans begin to show their own culture instead of that of their home countries. Also Napoleon was not in power until after America was independent. Technically few countries originally "belonged" to the people that now claim it. England for example was taken from the Picts by Rome. And here in France it was taken from the Franks also by the Romans. Go back far enough and most places were taken by another people. Tu es con.
