Giant Argument

Sharenator.com > Giant Argument
I feel like having a argument I don't care what it's about I just want to have an argument or start an argument so here's some topics

Is our election process fair?

Is torture ever acceptable?

Are we too dependent on computers?

Does access to condoms prevent teen pregnancy?

Is the cost of college too high?

Is global climate change man-made?

Is the death penalty effective?

I will answer these as best I can

1. No our electoral college can undermine the vote of the people

2. Yes if lives are at stake I believe torture is acceptable, however bodily mutilation is unacceptable

3. Yes and no, it would be difficult without computers and society would likely regress, but we do not need them.

4. It certainly cant hurt, however 12% of whites and 45% of blacks do not use them. People with some manor of intelligence know to use them.

5. As a college student I can say that college prices are high, but the government and donors offer huge amounts of assistance so it sort of evens out.

6. Global climate is not man-made. I do believe that we have some bearing on the climate, but world ending this is not. About 250,000 years ago the CO2 levels rose even higher than they are now and that wasn't man-made.

7. No the death penalty needs to be heavily refined, keeping a prisoner on death row for 30 years while the family of a victim waits for closure and taxpayers foot the bill is unacceptable and stupid.

Well I hope those were the answers you were looking for.

we are to dependent on computers if all computers crashed tomorrow most people would have a panic attack due to the fact that phones would also go down.

the cost of college is to high i personally think we should not have to pay to gain more knowledge.

condoms do reduce teen pregnancy but does not stop it. I say this from personal experience when i lived Minnesota we taught safe sex(condoms, birth control) and 1 maybe 2 teen where pregnant before leaving school. When i moved to North Carolina they taught abstinence and every time i turned around another girl was pregnant it was so bad that the school had a day care center for the newborns so the girls would finish school.

1: Yes, its mainly the voters who have failed I mean lets just use a small sample of 1,000,000 people if only 250,000 vote and 750,000 don't because they are the people who say their votes don't count and their voices don't matter they need to wake up and smell the bloody coffee

2: I believe it could be effective if it yields useful and valid information

3: Sadly I would have to say yes but of course we are quite intrigued by such conveniences but if one EMP were detonated or one good solar flare came and wiped out our electrics and machinery we would be highly crippled because of the fact we put too much faith in our machinery.

4: Ha! No it takes parents who actually give a shite about their children to teach them what love and sex really is because to most teenagers today sex=love and that's why the divorce rate in the country is so bloody high because what we've basically learned from our previous generation is if it feels good go with it and damn the consequences. Therefore teenage pregnancy is up divorce rate is up and single mothers are through the roof because the fathers cant man up grow a fucking set and take care of their child

5: Well the cost of any form of education is relatively quite high because of all the loopholes and referendums and other bureaucratic BS that John Q Public has to go through just to get enrolled Colleges are in a sad state of affairs because sometimes i don't think the degrees are worth the paper they are written on we put too much faith in a college education because they attended places of "higher learning" HA we have some of the worlds best minds running this country (supposedly) they are just too busy lining their pockets just a little bit deeper to care about the middle man

6: I honestly don't believe that "global warming" is entirely man made i mean just look at a volcano when it erupts it releases more of the greenhouse gases in 30 min than humans can do in 30 years its just another form of another branch of our bureaucrats to make money

7: the death penalty is highly ineffective because if we think about it a person commits a quadruple homicide multiple witnesses forensics fingerprints basically we know this guy was there without a shadow of a doubt judge convicts him and sentences him to the death penalty he sits on "death row" for about 10 years has multiple appeals and attempts to overturn the ruling RIGHT BEFORE HE IS SCHEDULED TO BE PUT TO DEATH one judge decides the death penalty is too harsh! and reduces the sentence to life in prison yes he will be off the street but i know it was a horrible from of closure for the family and friends of the victims

And thank you for such thought provoking questions
