But seriously, the Bible never actually says when Jesus was born, and December 25th is pretty much a randomly picked date.

you're right. also, they did not use the same calendar that we use today. all we really know is that it did not occur in winter because the shepards were watching their flock in the field (it would have been too cold for the animals, had it beenw winter). which is pretty odd considering we celebrate his birth in the core of winter.
