I honestly and truly mean no disrespect to our troops, as my cousin is a marine in the reserves. Personally, war is horrible. It destroys the world where we could get business instead of using tax dollars, and we could defend our nation instead of assing around in other countries. This is against government. I get how soldiers wanna help and protect us, I'm all for the military. Just not the way the assholes in D.C. decide to use our family. They've put themselves, and America, in a hole that will be fucking hard to dig out of. Even still, that's what they need to do.

MOS 2671 Middle Eastern Cryptoligic Linguist...
Sounds like a bit much but basically I go to school for two years learning a language (in my case, Farsi) and then I go to Texas for my Secretive Intel job training. Once in the fleet, I translate intel, or help gather it by going on patrols and meeting the locals, or in some cases, by interrogation. I'm currently stationed in Monterey California, of all places.

We all are stationed toegether, yermom is just talking like he is a war hero, and he has done 1 4 month cruise, and is stateing that he has been to the desert and is with marine divisions, sad really. Now opsec is when the security of critical assets, or information is being compromised (POD, POW, certain SOP's, kinneary's statements have not compromised ANYTHING, but yermoms dignity.

First of all... both of you corpsmen need to shut up and hug and get along. I am stationed at great lakes, and i have been for 3 years. I am a 2 time Iraq war veteran and I know first hand that this bickering bullshit needs to stop. We're all in this together and it doesnt need to get down to a pissing contest of who has been to war and who has not!

i agree, but when some one is lying about their military service to make themselves look "cool" i think it is the lowest thing a man could do. which is what yermom is doing. I know him personally, so i know he is full of shit, i wouldnt have made a big deal about if i didnt, he is a shitbag and is disrespecting those who HAVE served overseas.

I have seen so meny people saying very mean things about people who serve and I am geting sick of it. Almost all the men in my family have been in the military and I am proud of them. Some have died I didn't get a chance to meet some becuse they died fighting for America. For you little ungratfull as****** you think that America would be where it is now without there sacrafices. People keep saying that people are wasting there life, they did not waste there life my great grampa died to protect his wife and children and I'm so proud of haveing him as a grandpa. I may have never meet him but I love him and am proud of any way. My father if he didn't get injered and he would be overseas so insted he is working for the goverment and protecting people. I could go on but there are so many people in my family. I'm going for a military carrer first girl in my family after I serve I am going to be an archcatect so don't you dare say that people in the military are uneducated. +1 for all nice people! please excuse my spelling.

im going to go in the air force or a sniper but i got a long time to wait damn age laws but they keep kids safe
I personally am in the Air Force as a convoy humvee mechanic. I salute anyone that serves in the military. Especially Marines...first to fight is badass. i havnt seen any action but im leaving for a tour soon. Crossing my fingers that i come back safe.
i cant believe i haven't commented on this. wrapped and everyone else in the service i can happily say i would buy you a drink any day and thanks for kicking ass for a good cause

Well good luck with that elchalito. In reality only 20% of the Air Force actually are pilots. The chances of joining and becoming a pilot is not very good. Trust me..i tried and ended up a mechanic on humvees. But i still love the choice that i made. Dont regret it at all..
