the first game i remember playing was super mario bros 3 for NES. my dad had bought one and brought it home and bundled with it was smb3. we used to sit up all night playing it. that is the game that got me into video games.

I remember the first game i ever played was probably Super Smash Brothers for the Nintendo 64. I had endless fun when playing that game with my friends when I was younger.
The first game i remember playing was Mario for Nintendo 64..i dont remember the name of the game exactly..but it was mario, and i just went around doing these different fun challenges...it rocked..lol
First game on the computer was a Mickey Mouse game (3 years old), then came the playstation 1 with Duke Nukem(5 years old). For the game boy it was Tetris (5 years old). Other than that, I can't really think of anything else.
Oh I am so old, yes space invaders in the expensive arcades (it just been invented). I also remember tennis on some sort of home game, 2 paddles with dials (later called breakout on the spectrum). But then Horace goes sking on the zx81 with an amazing 1k of memory. If you were really posh you had had 16k version :)
sry to revive a dead thred (again) but spiderman for n64. not having played it in 8 years plus it really brings back memories to here that classic "Whatta we have here"
The first game I remember playing was some retarded educational game.... The first game that I actually liked playing was definitely Super Mario Bros. 3. I played that game all the time. I've got it for an old emulator on my laptop.
the first game i remember playing was sunset riders for the snes when i was 5. that game was sooo awesome . 'bury me with my money'. awesome last words.
I remember three games but dont really know which I played first
The first one was Ports of call a really old game from a friend of mine where you have your own shipping business
the other one I remember was sonic I think
and I played metal gear solid (or maybe just metal gear I dont remember really)
because I wasn't old enough to go to the Kindergarten I dont really remember which game I was playing first lol
but I was always playing with my older brother
(and for some reason I am still not a mass murder even though I played "killer games" when I was 3 years old or something I wonder why)
It was Hotwheels: Turbo Racing. Best game for the ps1. Then i got destruction derby 2 which was the shit. I still have em too and use my ps3 to play em.
Descent 1 and 2 for the PC... it was an old shooter from the 90s (Doom-like graphics) that I played with my Dad all the time. I still have it now... and I still play it!
Original Mario Brothers, it's how I learned how to read when I was 3, that way I didn't have to get the parents to read what was happening, even though it was a variation of about 5 sentences...... lol.
midnight club DUB edition remix was the first game i played and the 1 that got me into gaming. i have recently been playing mw2,(Modern Warfare 2), and have gone 10th prestige.
uhhmmm.....i think it was some dynasty warriors game on the ps1 or dreamcast or something like that
EDIT: No! infact it was the first halo that got me into gaming! i still have the game, but its in german -.-'
this is not an indication of age. i just never played a video game until i was a teenager.
when i was a kid i found it more fun to fling down a steep hill (since i grew up in the city, it was usually a steep driveway) in my radioflyer wagon at breakneck speed without a helmet or breaks instead of sitting infront of a screen all day. (how did we stop? we turned it sharply and hit into something and rolled on the ground. and did it again. safe.)
the handle is your steering wheel while you sit inside.
please dont tell me im the only one here who did this!
i did this until i learned how to properly ride a bike anyways...
also, i never grew up with much money either, so we didnt have cable tv or anything either. it was a blessing now that i realise how kids with all that stuff typically turned out.
Oh I remember my first game quite well, it was a copy of Pokemon Red version. I puchased it in 1999 and I didnt even have a gameboy. What ended up happening was (this was when I was seven) I went to my friend Max's house where he had an original gameboy. I managed to play the game for the whole of 15 minutes before the gameboy ended up dying. From the moment I turned the game on I was hooked. I had no idea what any of the monsters were and I didnt care. I actually begged and pleaded with my dad for almost a week before he finally caved and bought me my first console, the game boy color. Since then I have been hopelessly addicted to the immersive worlds of video games.
Hell, I think it was Mario or something, i can't really rememeber, it was either Mario or Golden Eye 64. +3'ing simply for you making me interested in remembering this.
I started out playing Secret of Mana with my bro and Secret of Evermore. Of course I also played other SNES games like Super Mario RPG and Mickey's Magical Quest. Good times, good times :D
