I am learning to edit movies as a career and i study movies pretty in depth sometimes ha
1. Pans Labyrinth- Guilermo del Toro created a masterpiece. Stringing together a mythical fantasy (alice in wonderland) and the harsh realities of war in all its cruelty. Cinematography is flawless and the symbolism hidden within is truly remarkable.
2. Fight club- Cinematography is dirty and gritty the entire movie, which makes the movie fit the actual story line very well. Brad Pitt and Ed Norton... enough said.
3. Lion King- its the fucking lion king! =D
i have just looked though all of the comments and you my friend deserve a medal for putting up fight club. WELL DONE *claps* :) p.s and epic film all round
Wrong. I hate that movie. Reason? Well I am a Biology Teacher, everyone thinks the Lion King is real. The only issue is that Simba would never ever rule the same Kingdom as his father, why? Well all of the females are his sister! Yes, that is right. According to the movie growing up and having cubs with your sister is the norm in the Lion world. It is not. Oh and Twilight is just stupid too!
1. Zombieland
2. Epic Movie
3. 300
4. All Saw Movies
5. All Starwars Movies
6. Zeitgeist the Movie
7. Idiocracy
8. Observe and Report
9. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
10. Meet the Spartans
There are others that come close for me... Almost Famous, Shawshank Redemption, Cabin Fever, Identity, the list goes on and on. It got to the point that I had to have one movie to tell people was my favorite. Gladiator seemed to be a good choice. I never get tired of that movie. And now its in Bluray...
I'm gonna get yelled down by about 10 people for this but I think it's overrated, although I admit the D-day scene is one of the best bits of cinema ever and it has influenced practically every movie since.
Tears of the Sun, and the Die Hard films. Just because they're cool. (Also if anybody else has noticed the link, it is a coincidence Bruce Willis is in those films and nothing else :) )
Ummm, I don't know about favorite. But the one movie that is always awesome when I can't figure out what to watch...
THE FIFTH ELEMENT!!!!!!!!!!
I do think it's probably the best movie made in the last 20 years. But I don't know about all time. Metropolis is probably the closest to my favorite of all time, but not something I watch often.
sorry brother but the only thing acatar had going for it was special effects and 3d. the story is nothing new and what the hell was with the meck sword at the end?
i can go with that. special effects have carried many a movie. in that respect i think you are correct. i never saw it in 3d and just watched it at home. so it was no where near as enjoyable as the experience i am sure you had.
Black Hawk down- My mother was in that war
The Hurt Locker- just a plain straight kickass movie
Hangover- Watch it multiple times, still funny as shit =].
No doubt for me my absolute fave is The Usual Suspects. I'd volunteer to get amnesia so I could see it for the first time again. No other ending I can think of has the same impact.
1. Donnie Darko
2. Back to the Future series
3. City of God
4. Pulp Fiction
5. Jurassic Park
6. District 9
7. Pineapple Express
8. MP and the Holy Grail
9. The life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
10. Dawn of the dead
my opinion is that the 1-3 don't hold up to the masterpieces that was the original. why do you assume i am telling you not to think on your own? i am telling you my opinion. sorry your panties got bunched up.
