Ohw lol, I don't really care, because District 9 was a good job. Also looking forward to the Halo film. There's also going to be a Gears of War film in the future.
    - Naugron August 2, 2011, 11:16 pm
Return of the King has some important stuff in the Extended version, like the death of Saruman.
    - Ertrov August 2, 2011, 11:42 pm
The Halo film isn't happening. District 9 used the funds that were supposed to be for Halo.

Man, this is too hard a question for most people. I can give you a top 10 maybe, but not a 1.

    Shawshank Redemption
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
    Donnie Brasco
    Godfather Series
    Interview with a Vampire
    Good Will Hunting
    The Big Lebowski
    Alien 1, 2
    Mystic River
    Constantine

I know there are a bunch of movies that I'm not thinking of right now, so this answer is not quite accurate.

There are others that come close for me... Almost Famous, Shawshank Redemption, Cabin Fever, Identity, the list goes on and on. It got to the point that I had to have one movie to tell people was my favorite. Gladiator seemed to be a good choice. I never get tired of that movie. And now its in Bluray...

I am learning to edit movies as a career and i study movies pretty in depth sometimes ha
    1. Pans Labyrinth- Guilermo del Toro created a masterpiece. Stringing together a mythical fantasy (alice in wonderland) and the harsh realities of war in all its cruelty. Cinematography is flawless and the symbolism hidden within is truly remarkable.
    2. Fight club- Cinematography is dirty and gritty the entire movie, which makes the movie fit the actual story line very well. Brad Pitt and Ed Norton... enough said.
    3. Lion King- its the fucking lion king! =D

i must ask, what do you think happened at the end of pans labyrinth?
    - johnecash August 27, 2010, 10:26 am
i have just looked though all of the comments and you my friend deserve a medal for putting up fight club. WELL DONE *claps* :) p.s and epic film all round

Wrong. I hate that movie. Reason? Well I am a Biology Teacher, everyone thinks the Lion King is real. The only issue is that Simba would never ever rule the same Kingdom as his father, why? Well all of the females are his sister! Yes, that is right. According to the movie growing up and having cubs with your sister is the norm in the Lion world. It is not. Oh and Twilight is just stupid too!

    THE FIFTH ELEMENT!!!!!!!!!!

I do think it's probably the best movie made in the last 20 years. But I don't know about all time. Metropolis is probably the closest to my favorite of all time, but not something I watch often.

sorry brother but the only thing acatar had going for it was special effects and 3d. the story is nothing new and what the hell was with the meck sword at the end?
    - johnecash August 27, 2010, 10:29 am
I know, I enjoyed it purely for the special effects. The film looked amazing and the story and acting was good enough to not ruin that.
    - Dannyl August 27, 2010, 12:05 pm
i can go with that. special effects have carried many a movie. in that respect i think you are correct. i never saw it in 3d and just watched it at home. so it was no where near as enjoyable as the experience i am sure you had.
    - johnecash August 27, 2010, 1:42 pm
They're re-releasing it soon, i think an extended version? you should go see it in 3D, much more enjoyable
    - Dannyl August 27, 2010, 2:52 pm
i may but the home experience may have ruined it for me. i would love to try the 3d as i have yet to go to any 3d movie.
