Europe isn't resembled to a polished turd. But In the UK things are brilliant.

Why is it always US vs EU (or "Europe"). In the end, the only two parties discussing here (on mostly quite a low level) are Americans and Britons? The European region consists of many different countries. They can't be lumped together.
If any Englishman likes to compare (--> criticize) the USA with the UK - please keep the rest of us out of it.
If a US citizen (or anyone else) doesn't know the cultural and political difference between Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Romania and Montenegro - than he or she shouldn't address any critics or comparisons towards the EU/Europe but to a distinguishable country (it's like putting North and South America in the same country).
Most people living in "Europe" don't know to much about their neighbors. Almost all they know is superficial and prejudice.

I really hate this arguement. Yes, America may not be as "cultured" as Europe but there is a signifigant reason for it and that would be age. If we are honestly going to rely on sterotypes why don't I just assume that all Europeans have body odor and seem to have never heard of a dentist.

everything has pros and cons
in germany you can drink legally at age 16 and go into clubs but in america you can get your drivers license
you have to be 21 to drink in america and 18 in germany to get your drivers license
and there is more beer then heineken really

This is very true, can see why you'd get annoyed in the same way as when we say all aussies are descended from convicts. However there is a bit of a double standard where some groups are happy to claim their roots in Europe, like those who take pride in their being an Italian/Irish/Scottish descent or German like the Pensylvania dutch. Nothing wrong in them having pride in their herritage but then telling Europe to be the ones to let go? I know that doesn't apply to you though, just saying.
all i am saying is the US has been a country since 1776. the only people born here now are American's. i see what you are saying. to me it reminds me of blacks wanting reparations for slavery. i say ok, if you were a slave(the black in my family have been free for over 100 years) then yes you are owed money. but no blacks were born into slavery today just like all people born in the US are American.
to say that one is better than the other without a foundation to start on is just silly. why is it better? give many reason, not just one. yes the eurotrash is better at some things, and the US is better at some thing. just remeber eurotrash that russia is part of europe.

If you compare the USA and Europe it would be way more acurate to leave out Russia... On a geological basis Russia is europe but on a political basis we have the EU which is without Russia. So in order to have a slightly fair matchup it should be two political groups against each other. Or do you see that differently?

Well I'm an American, although due to my dad's time in the military I spent most of my time in Europe and Asia. I can tell you from personal experience that both are rich cultures, and both have thier flaws. Besides if you think about it, depending on your religious/scientific beliefs, we're all related anyway.

Europe sees America as fat, stupid, lazy, drooling war mongers, America sees Europe as a land of stuck up assholes who can't hold their own in a war. When in reality Europe in the past 150 years have gotten into 2 world wars both times requiring the help of America, imperialistically took over much of Africa during said wars, after said wars the European allied powers demanded reparations for the wars from Germany the first time it happened it led to the second war and one could argue that it played a large part in the death of 6 million jews, America absolved Germany's debt to it and didn't want to screw Germany over. My point being Europe is just a bad as everyone else

i think america definitely has its bonuses that europe cant even compete with, but having lived in america for 18 years, im starting to lean towards europe. i would gladly give up a little bit of freedom to get away from the bullshit and lazyness in this country
the numbers may seem to be off yes, but this country is full of unwilling people. and most who are willing are in a bullshit career like our 40,000 lawyers graduated a year. our country changed from an industrial top notch country that produced more then we used, meaning we exported a lot to having to import everything and sueing each other for money. its just disappointing
i agree with you on that, brains hold a lot of power, but there are definitely jobs that shouldnt have as many people as they do. my prime example is the lawyer, yes we need them but 40,000 a year? thats excessive. people these days are afraid to do anything to anyone from the fear of getting sued. we took a good democratic government system and turned it into a joke
me and my dad like to look up a lot of info. plus i got those numbers from my micro economics class. he gave us a link to an article. but thats 40,000 lawyers graduated every year. there are only 30,000 chemical engineers in the entire US alone. with only a few hundred graduated a year. all the engineers combined dont come anywhere near the amount of graduated lawyers. weve gone from an industrial nation to selling shitty cars and services. we need to export products and get a better gdp or china is going to fuck us
all im saying is when we had hundreds of thousands of industrial jobs our country was booming. then once that started declining and other jobs that dont increase america's total GDP starting increasing, is when we began leaning towards a recession
