Does It Matter?
I am gay and have experienced 1 or 2 homophobic offences so I decided to do a survey to see if other people think gay/bi or lez people should be treated any different?

No - The bottom line is that everyone is equal. I dont care whether a person is gay/lez/bi , black/white/asian/hispanic - the ONLY thing that matters to me is a persons heart .... meaning how they are in life. Will they hold the door if they see someone behind them or will they just rush through and let the door close behind them ? That is the only thing that matters to me and I dont judge people. Something about me - I am a recovering Heroin addict with years clean from drugs/alcohol - If people judged me , I would never had a chance at life......
"Wrong and unnatural to be gay"? What the hell is wrong with you? Homosexuality is genetic, it has occured in nature, therefore it is natural (Don't give me the whole "That hasn't been proven yet" bullshit, the gay gene was discovered ages ago.) All that aside, why is it wrong? Do two people who love each other not have the right to be together, simply because they have the same gender? Because I've met gay couples who know a hell of alot more about love then plenty of straight couples I've encountered.

Also I assume with the "occurred in nature" you spoke of you were refering to animals commiting homosexual acts. But this could be explained by the animal trying to demonstrate dominance. With me believing that it is wrong that is purely religiously based.
They should be able to be together get married and do whatever they want. It's not going to hurt me but I can hold that opinion if I am so inclined. If someone believes it is morally wrong to be strait then thy have every right to do so.

No, by "occured in nature" I mean that homosexuality is genetic. People are simply born that way, therefore it is indeed natural. People commit homosexual acts, because they're homosexual, they can't help being gay anymore than you and I can help being straight. Dominance is a completely different story.
Also, using religion to justify it doesn't make sense. You know what else people use religion to justify? Believing that the world is less than 10 000 years old and there's an invisble sky daddy watching everything on earth every moment of every day, who created a terrible place where you burn for eternity if you don't live life exactly how he wants.
What I'm getting at is, just because you have the right to believe something, doesn't change the fact that it's complete and utter bullshit.

Well, I've been looking into this a little more. There doesn't seem to be a specific "gay gene" I'll give you that. But alot of researchers are finding that many genes are associated with homosexual behaviour but the hard evidence still isn't there. Though I will still argue that homosexuality in humans is natural. Humans are a part of nature, just like any other organism. So anything we do is part of nature as well. Therefore, homosexual acts are not unnatural. That aside, if not genetic, then what? You think people are being gay to piss off your god? I highly doubt that.
Well then this is going to turn into religious debate. I just believe that it is wrong. It shouldn't be outlawed or anything. I know guys that are gay and I am friends with them. I don't agree with what they are doing but I'm not going to exile them from friendship because of it.
