Dissapointment From The Last Airbender Movie
I just saw this film and I don't know if there are many that have but I would recommend not seeing this film. Some parts of the movie was OK but others were left out all together or left out and spliced in at random times. M Night Shamalyan needs to do a better job then this I don't know if I can watch another one or even if enough money will be made to make one. Personally I don't think I will be able to understand any of it at all if I hadn't see the series a number of times.
Please anyone that has seen the movie or plans to or even those that just want to put in their own views please leave a comment.

Yeah... I saw the trailer and thought it was going to be cool. I think I won't even hire this movie, thank you, gemie89, I'll just ask my friend to download it :), so I can spend the money on a better movie, aha!

Edit* okay the acting was pretty bad and they got the names wrong!!! (I can't stand it!!!) and the plot got a little mixed up and confusing from time to time. I'd rate it like 6/10 Frankly he could have and should have done a better job.

Did anyone else think they took fire bending to literal.
Yea like it took 4 water benders to kill one guy.
Not to mention like 5 minutes of flailing their arms around in martial arts stances that produced like a single puddle of water or a pebble.
Yeah. And to top it off, they made it so the Avatar was a pussy. The Avatar is meant to defend peace by whatever means necessary and they wouldn't let him fight. I say bullshit!
Seriously! At the end, he was like "Nah, I'll just make a big ass wave instead of destroy all the ships" and the Fire Nation's balls just dropped off and they turned around and left. WTF.
I know not every detail could be in the film but the way the story line went was as if they didn't even watch the cartoon version...Also, the only way I understood any of the movie was because I am a "Last Airbender Freak". I feel bad for the people that went and had no knowledge of the actual show.
I will see this eventually, and I look forward to seeing it without being a uber fan of the show. Lets me see it as a movie, not as an adaptation.
i hav seen every single episode in the series like ten times, and i would say it is worth watching, i thought it was really good, but that is mostly becouse i have seen the series so much that i could tell what was going on and explain it to people and if you havnt watched the series then i think it would be a little confusing
Arg! I couldnt agree with you more. M Night Shamalyan really needs to stick to making his own movies, and not great cartoons/ I mean everythign was just totally off! And they pronounced Aang's name Ong because of the other version! It just drove me crazy. The movie was sadly an overall fail and honestly I want my time back :(

i saw the movie and if you have followed the series (like me) then it will be horrible, but if you haven't (you need to) then it will be decent, i saw this in action because my siblings loved it and they didn't see one episode. Let me sum it up (what they did wrong) for you people who haven't seen the movie yet. They pronounced like a million names wrong, uncle iroh wasn't fat, zukos scar was barly noticeable, the earthbenders that where taken captive on the coal mine thing weren't there and they were able to earthbend plenty, no humor AT ALL, they didn't even name momo, and sokka wasn't sarcastic! This is only like half of what was wrong with this movie. SO DON'T WATCH IT!!! The only reason you would want to waste the money is so you can agree with me and everyone else you hated this movie. The movie only covered the first season and i think they are coming out with the rest of the season.
we all knew it was going to suck. why aticipate it?

The whole time I was waiting for someone to stab someone, becuase they all had knives and dangerous weapons but the most action I saw was someone getting drowned and then someone getting pushed around with... Air?!

guys, you have to give him credit. he had to fit an entire season of a tv show in one movie. unless he went lord of the ring style and made it 4 hours long, he wasnt going to be able to fit the entire season in one movie. the movie was good, but it did leave a few parts out. i still recommend seeing it because the effects are quite impressive. the storyline may be a bit disappointing though due to the lack of content caused by what i mentioned earlier
