Right? No idea why they don't let you just turn the graphics down like every other game out there... or at least let you know you can't play it before it installs! Oh well, not like I paid for it anyways.

what do you mean your card wasnt supported? and you can turn down the graphics settings. they actually give you a lot of control

Have you Used CPU-z to find out what your graphics card is?

Yes, it is far from the best, but it should be fine on low settings as it can run SC2 and WoW(even MoP Beta) fine. My graphics card is a nvidia GeForce 6150 SE which is apparently too low for Diablo 3.

My bad, I just assumed you couldn't since the game won't even launch for me because my graphics card is not supported(which I assumed would be fixed by being able to turn ingame settings down). Pic below is what I see when I click Play. Clicking OK on the message exits game.

unfortunately the only way to fix this is to buy a new graphics card, which I don't have the money for atm.

I'm getting that same screen, I wouldn't have bought the annual pass for WoW if I would have known I'd be in this rut. Apparently Diablo won't run on ANY intel graphics card, which happens to be what I'm using.
