29 years ago today, John Lennon was shot in the back 4 times in front of his wife, Yoko Ono.
He was murdered by Mark David Chapman. The bastard asked Lennon for his autograph 10 minutes before he fired at him.
For those who do not know, John Lennon was a Beatle. He played rhythm guitar. After the breakup he had a huge solo career. With hits like "Give Peace a Chance" and "Imagine".
All he wanted was peace. And those 24 hours after his death, we finally had it for a brief time to mourn this legend.

Dimebag (Abbott) was the guitarist for Pantera. Or did they replace him with someone else and he died too? I guess I don't understand the "also shot" part, since Dimebag Darrell's name was Darrell Abbott.

Lennon was one of those musicians with a good vibe to him. You can't really get angry listening to his songs.
What pisses me off is all the jackshit retards who compare Lennon/Hendrix/any older band to Beiber/Jonas Brothers/Hannah Montana. There is no comparison.
