:D lucid dreams are fun as fuck! i know i've said it before but being able to control a dream like that often leads to me fighting hordes of zombies and/or superpowers. seriously wish i could video tape my dreams cause if i could there would be some good movies lol ;)

but normally when i'm at the point when i'm controlling it, i wake up a second later by a parent/alarm clock for school :/

:/ that sucks i don't have that problem i can normally just start off controlling it :) so basically those superpowers i always wanted when i was little i can actually use in the dreams :D nothing beats tearing a horde of zombies apart with a single sweep of your sword or using a Kamehameha wave to fight someone ;) seriously it's fun as hell!

i really wanna know what it's like to fly, next time, imagine your self flying and tell me :D

been there and done that lol i actually don't like it as much cause half way trough normally i feel like im going to fall it's a weird feeling but when i do it right it's fun as hell normally i only use it for fights but i like being able to jump insanely high and stuff or moving at crazy speeds much more. i get a little more control and fighting guys that can't fly isn't really fun to be honest it's just not fair lol
    - 24paperwings April 17, 2012, 12:14 pm
lol what, you mean it's not fair on the people you're fighting bevause you can fly and they can't?
This guy doesn't seem to mind his advantage: :P
    - Fail4424 April 17, 2012, 12:17 pm
considering i can do a lot of stuff they can't and could literally destroy everything if i need to i think adding in flying might be a bit much lol only thing that sucks is when you lose control of the dream (trust me some nasty shit can happen if you lose it...)
    - 24paperwings April 17, 2012, 12:23 pm
lol, well if i ever get the chance i'll find out
hopefully the next time my brain decides to be nice to me it'll be on a weekend, when i don't have to wake up except to come down for lunch, so i can expirience it all for my self XD
    - Fail4424 April 17, 2012, 12:27 pm
woah, how do you control them? I have only done it once after months of trying to dream it....never happened again :( I heard you hsve to do certain things before sleep O_o
    - sessyann April 17, 2012, 9:37 pm
nope not really lol i taught myself when i was really little cause i was having bad dreams so rather than stay up all night i decided to do one of two things either imagine a giant eraser to come and erase the dream or have a giant alligator to come chase it off (the alligator one came from a huge stuffed animal i had when i was really little) in any case it worked fairly well cause as i would wake up from the dream i would imagine one of the two things as i was going to bed and how it would happen. this kinda sucked though cause the dream would go into this weird loop when i did it and kinda just do that exact same thing over and over and over. so in order to dream normal again i forced it to do what i wanted once i did that i learned slowly i could start to control everything within like maybe 4-5 months i was making full on choices in the dream and within the year i was doing literally anything i wanted with the dream :) and this was at like 4-5 years old mind you ;) took a bit but it was completely worth it as now i don't even need to try i just decide if i want to go with the flow or make choices and fight stuff :) p.s avoid winning a lot of money if you eventually learn how to cause you wake up really really fucking disappointed
    - 24paperwings April 17, 2012, 10:43 pm
woah! so you just thought of what you wanted to dream about right before you went to bed? I do that, but i never end up remembering my dreams. i wonder what im doing wrong :/

And about your money dream,,,,,that's so true >_< like when i was 5 i had this really messed up dream where for my birthday i got an empty fish, just water...and anyway in my dream i was moving the rocks from the bottom to give to my sister and i got sucked into the fishbowl and i was taken to a smurf land. They told me i couldn't tell anyone that they were living there, and then they made me their mayor. But after a while some weird aunt saw me and she told the police or whatever, so then these idians on horses came over and told me i had to hand over the magic fishbowl, and in return they would give me a 100$ gift certificate to Wal-mart. So i went out and bought a bunch of exercise balls (no idea why xD) and when I woke up from this dream i was SO excited to play with my toys.....then i realized it was just a dream :(

One way you can teach yourself to lucid dream is to do "reality checks" throughout the day. This involves consciously stopping every hour or so (think to yourself 'reality check time') and looking around to verify everything is as it should be(clocks show correct time, books can be read, things like that). Do it regularly day after day and eventually you'll be able to do the same thing in your dreams. The difference is in your dreams things will be out of place(you can't read[supposedly], your car might be in your living room, your living room might be on the moon etc etc) and you'll be able to recognize this and hopefully realize you're in a dream... then the fun begins :)

That paralysis part is a bit misleading, it's actually normal & it's called REM sleep. Your body pretty much tranquilizes itself so you don't end up in the middle of the street or dry humping your roommate. I broke out of REM sleep a while back & ended up kicking my wall bare foot, skin peeled off & everything. So REM sleep is a good thing. HOWEVER, it has been reported that a few people have woken up during a phase of REM sleep where the brain couldn't react fast enough & wake the body & the patients said they were unable to move while being fully aware & awake.

My little brother used to do something like that called 'night terrors'. It was actually properly scary. When he was between the ages of about 5-8 years old, he used to get up, screaming and crying (this is when I still shared a room with him) and he used to be aware of us, but not as us, we'd be people in his dream, so he'd get even more upset, and start sleep walking; and I found him stood literally at the edge of the stairs once just crying (still asleep, mind you) and looking like he was about to fall down the stairs... It was scary, scary shit.

Damn, that's some intense shit. That mix of reality & dreams/nightmares is very interesting.
I've had an episode where I was talking to someone in my dream & woke up while I was talking & I was still mumbling some word when I woke up. I didn't even know how to react to that, I was just left in astonishment.

Yeah, it kind of freaks me out when I think about it. Like you don't have any control over your dreams/nightmares and your helpless :/
    - sessyann April 29, 2012, 6:45 am
Most of the time you don't, but there are times where you make choices in your dream & there are other times where you completely control your dreams
