Craigslist Scammer Caught
Okay, first of all this is my first post. I've browsed here for a while but never registered until now. This story must be told as it is the most epic thing I've ever done with the internet. First off, my dad gave me his old ipaq and told me that I could sell it and keep the money. So I put it up on craigslist earlier today and got a response fairly quickly. I took a picture of all the emails that were exchanged and captioned them in the following pic (you'll have to click through and enlarge it so it's readable):
The last line of the last caption says "comment by dogan506 (me)". Here is the link to that youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAiLw887rss). I'm still waiting for a response from this guy, hopefully he hasn't already sent his "mover" ;)
EDIT: As of 7/20/10, some people have messaged me saying that the comment was removed. I think the uploader did so because he had no idea what I was commenting on :) I'm gonna message him today and see if I can get things straightened out. Worst case scenario: I have to send my driver over there and bribe him with $100 to put the comment back.

Seems legit to me - how could you not trust someone who uses grammar like that > ??? You will have to update / post another post of the outcome. I am like you whereas I love to fuck with spammers/scammers and people who deserve it.
Yea it's so fun to fuck with people like that. I'm really hoping he'll respond but I doubt he will. If he does then the fun can continue :)
dude epic...how could he scam you though? isnt his *driver* paying when he picks it up??
nah the last email says that he would mail the payment and have his "driver" pick the item up. he could easily write a fake check or cancel it or anything like that

Not gonna lie, Tropic Thunder was one of Tom Cruise's best movies. Literally I couldn't stop laughing in all his scenes. Great and Epic win for you sir.
Yea, I have to agree. It's funny though, when I saw this movie in theaters we were getting ready to leave when one of my friends says "Dude, Tom Cruise was hilarious in that movie," so I turn and say "Tom Cruise was in that movie?!?!". I was completely oblivious XD
