College!

Sharenator.com > College!
So as in the title I am requesting some advice for a freshman in college. It could be anything. (what to bring, situation advice, roommate advice, class advice, ect.)

If anyone else in the Sharenator community is going into college I would love to hear about it!

essays don't need to be started till the day before
energy drinks are needed for essays
naps are amazing
join a club
fat chicks have hot friends
weed + art class= the most enlightening experience of your life and greatest grade
don't get caught with beer
vodka is much easier to sneak in than beer
mountain dew is a great chaser (if needed)
don't get tied down right away (it's just a bad choice)
most highschool relationships will end within the first 3 months
make friends with upperclassmen
grav bong = great way to conserve weed and still get baked off your ass
ramen noodles will now become a constant part of your diet
almost anything can be used to smoke with
stay away from the crack heads
*be friendly to everyone and try and meet as many people as possible the first few days before people for their little groups
bros before hoes
sports are a great way to stay in shape
carry a lighter at all times you may not smoke but it's a pretty good way to meet new people
chicks can be bitches sometimes don't get used
early classes suck schedule them for later in the day (it's not like you're going to have anything better to do)
bring a tv
be friends with your roommate it makes life a fuck load simpler
you're going to be broke as fuck within the next couple months watch your money and if possible work trust me any little bit helps
and finally just remember you don't always have to play it safe better to make a mistake and learn from it and get an experience than to regret never doing it at all (but don't get talked into doing something you never really wanted to do in the first place)

-DarkHunter-

-DarkicoN13-

I'm going to a nearby community college with a small scholarship this year, so I don't have to worry about a lot of things. I just have to worry about finding a damn job in this economy so I can pay for my car insurance and gas.

Nice. Yeah I'm going to one of the main party schools in the state. While I wasn't much of a party goer in high school I might visit a few from time to time while I work on a BS in Zoology.

Make some new friends, stay on top of your grades, and have a good time. Find the right balance of grades and partying for you and you will do fine. Freshmen year is hard in the beginning but after a month you will find your place. I just finished my freshmen year and there's no other way to describe it then fun and it goes by fast. I wish you all the best of luck, enjoy it.

What do you think about joining a fraternity?

Depends what college you go to. If it is a large university i would recommend it. It's a good way to meet new people and have a built in group of friends. If you are going to a smaller school then you probably shouldn't worry about it because it will be pretty easy to meet a lot of people. All my friends in frats seem to like it, I've never been into it myself. Though i am on a sports team which is pretty much like a frat itself.

I just finished my freshman year as well. Party hard, study twice as hard. Never drink on an empty stomach. Don't skip class. Have some sort of signal/sign for privacy as needed to prevent awkward moments with your roommate (ex: sock on doorknob). Good luck and enjoy it. It goes by way too fast.

I'll be heading into my freshman year of college as well! Look for a book called 1001 things every graduate should know, it gives a bunch of awesome tips for what to expect in college. I'll post some later but I'm too tired right now.

Make your schedule as flexible as possible, there are things that spark up at any moment.
Make sure to use a rubber sheet if you know your roommate's T&B average.
Alcohol tolerance can be faked by a 3 to 1 water to alcohol ratio.
Don't be afraid of the friend zone in college it can get you laid or help get you laid.
Pancakes and pizza are best before and after parties they soak up alcohol like desert sand.

study. from here on out you are paying for this shit. the longer it takes, the longer it will take to get a good job and start making real money. i am 33 and know people who didn't finish college till they were 26 and up to 30. my house paid for, my car paid for, them... well still renting an apartment without a good job.
