Alright, so my parents have begun to ask me what I want for Christmas this year. I currently have a Wii, iPod Nano, acoustic and electric guitar, and not much else significant. Anything new i should check out?

What kind of guitars? I've got an old fender Stratocaster and a Epiphone Les Paul myself. The Epiphone is a lot less expensive than the Gibson version, but they essentially sound the same (plus Gibson owns Epiphone, so it isn't even a knock off guitar, they're legit.) If you're a serious guitarist, it never hurts to have a few different types of guitars to mess around with. Maybe you should ask for decent distortion or chorus pedal. Better yet, get one of those pedals with like 50 different effects installed. I have one where you can make your own custom effects by mixing and matching different types of sound effects.
I've got a Boss Heavy Metal and Stereo chorus, Zoom G1X, and an Epiphone SG 66, Devlin Imposter, and a Peavey Acoustic. I've checked out Gibson's as well, and I'd have to disagree about the quality difference. It's noticeable. While it'd be nice, I'm unsure my parents would drop 2-3 grand on a guitar for me. As far as my amp, I'd like to stay with what I have.
It really depends on the epiphone model. With the les paul special, the quality difference is there, but with my Guitar (Les Paul Standard.) They're nearly identical but either way, it's a decent guitar. Getting back to what you should do for Christmas, I'd look into used guitars. You never know what you could find (The fender I was talking about is nearly 20 years old, USA made and in great condition. I got it for free! XD) If your folks don't mind doing some looking, they might find something great, at a decent price.
Now on another topic, you've got a wii as well. How often do you use it and are you much of a gamer? I've got a 360 and a wii myself and until my 360 red ringed I used to play Call of Duty religiously. Does a 360 or PS3 sound like something you'd want? I'd recommend springing for the 360 kinect if you can.
As far as the gaming goes, I'm not really into it. Any time I'd have gaming is spent on the guitar, so CoD BO and MW2 would be fun, but not worth it for me.
Well, i first wrote my sentence as "i think he thinks..." but that just didn't sound right, so i chucked in a "reckon" for greater effect, (but a lot of australians use reckon, at least where i live).
What's Christmas with out prawns and flies crawling all over the food? (Didn't realise there were so many Australians on this site, I shat myself with happiness)
