Naaahh, it's all in good fun. Nobody ever really means it, and the few who do usually end up getting fired.
The Top Gear guys are actually my favorite show hosts ever, personally, and that's partly because they're not afraid of offending anyone; they just say what comes to them naturally, like good buddies having a conversation.
