Baby Bird Leaving the Nest...

Sharenator.com > Baby Bird Leaving the Nest...
Here's a short version of the story - my girlfriend is having some issues with her dad and his side of the family, and wants to go live with her mom and step-dad. Now, that's about an hour away from where I'm at and she doesn't want to leave me behind. We talked it over with her mom and step-dad, and I've talked it over with my parents. We're going to live together there :]

Now, legally my parents can't say no to me leaving. I mean, they were a little iffy at first but overall they're supportive.

I've got a full time position lined up over the summer, and as long as I keep [atleast] a part-time job and finish school, which I have a year left, we can stay.

Do you think it's too soon for me/us? We've dealt with some serious bullshit over the past few months, lost a few friends, and I believe we're deserving of a fresh start in another town, another school, where we can really get a head start in life.

What do all of you think?

Quick Edit: we've been together for more than a year, and our relationship has yet to hit a bump in the road and most likely won't for a long time :P

It's not going to. We're to be engaged on her 18th birthday, and both of our families are agreed that everything will go as planned.
