As a smoker, I can tell you that it takes about 7 minutes to smoke a cigarette as quickly as you can. But usually it takes about 15. There are 20 cigarettes in a pack. It would be impossible to smoke 20 cigarettes in 20-30 minutes.

Yes. The CO2 will corrode your blood LONG before the THC can do that. Plus, THC is almost impossible to OD on, thus, the burning of the lungs will kill you. THC is only known to be toxic under any insertion besides smoking it.

If you smoke enough weed to kill yourself, you are just wasting it anyway and deserve to die. It took me and three buddies 2 hours to smoke 5 ounces. That is no where near 15,000 joints.

I don't really understand your point. I'm indifferent to the legalisation, either way i'll smoke it. But the argument that just because it doesn't kill you means it should be legal is pretty flawed. Lots of things that don't kill you are illegal and lots of things that do kill you are legal. It's illegal because it affects a persons mind and it wasn't mainstream enough in earlier days that it became accepted as readily. It's not legalised because any party that tried to push this through would get slated endlessly. This legalisation will never happen because it's politcal suicide, not because they actually care what it does to you.
Also i read somewhere a while back that cannabis cannot be taxed, so governments wouldn't get any benefit from legalising it.

so many things can go wrong with legalizing it.....First, heavy taxes. Second, probably shitty bud. Third, there will be an age limit(like we follow that anyways). And last of all, it wont be as fun anymore.
But if it's legal, more people will sell it more openly. It will be taxed, but the price will go down anyway because of the compititon to sell it. As an example, one of my friends lives in the bahamas, where pot, though not legal is still very common. So much so that you can easily get it for $3.50 a gram. There's so much around it's all about who can get it for you the cheapest. True there will be an age limit but there's an age limit for Alcohol too. Does that stop people who are underage from drinking. Hell no.
If you're smoking pot because it's illegal and that makes it fun then you are the equivilant of a newfag, i know this news must sting, i'll let you ponder.
Heavy taxes would be a worthwile cost for an understanding, more open world where people can consume what they want as it's their choice, it isn't perfect i know but it's a start and if it were to be legalized the personal growing of marijuana should follow shortly after if not with it.

The goverment grows some of the best weed in the world for medicinal purposes and there are plenty of seperate companies doing it for the goverment that know what they're doing a lot more than drug dealers, anyway it isn't hard to grow good weed all it takes is a bit of practice and some patience, i know i'd do it if it were legalized, it's be a job i'd take pride in.
