every one is always hating on #1.

and it's not only America, other countries can take initiative too.
    - gemie89 October 29, 2010, 11:32 am
    ??? how so?
    - johnecash October 29, 2010, 12:19 pm
I think he was saying that it says America can do all of this but every country has Internet so it's not all on America.
    - buddyfoeva October 29, 2010, 1:02 pm
    ahhh thanks
    - johnecash October 29, 2010, 1:52 pm
So we should prepare some insults now for when we have to start hating on China before long? :P
    - Ruleb October 30, 2010, 10:59 am
don't put the cart before the horse.
    - johnecash October 31, 2010, 10:10 am
Or as we'll be saying in a few years time: "don't put the rikshaw before the small asian man".

it made me want to research how electrons stay in orbit in an atom
apparently they don't know completely yet

    • hightec
    • October 29, 2010, 7:04 am
dont they stay in orbit cos they're negaticely charged and they orbit around the positively charged protons and the neutral neutrons, so the electrons closer to the nucleus are held tighter in place whilst the ones further out are more prone to chemically react because they aren't as megnetically tied?
    - poopiteepoop October 30, 2010, 4:03 am
well yes but i was wondering how they stay in orbit
one is + and the other is - so why dont they stick

it said something about clouds but i didnt understand that well
    - hightec October 30, 2010, 4:16 am
I'll try to explain this as well as I can. The electrons are travelling extremely fast, they try to make their way toward the centre (negative attracting positive) They sort of 'lock on course' to the centre and travel towards it but the 'forward' momentum of their original speed and direction is making them miss. They are basically 'overshooting' their target and they do this repeatedly thousands of times a second so they appear to be circling the centre. This also happens with planets on a much larger scale.
However, we do not know why the electrons do not lose speed this has not yet been discovered so that's why they don't just slow down and get drawn to the centre.
    - jakematsui October 30, 2010, 4:54 am
that was what i was basically talking about before
    they don't entirely know
    - hightec October 30, 2010, 5:14 am

I didn't understand any of that
    - Pharmon November 2, 2010, 5:50 am
this question is oddly like the one about the planetary orbit i have that no teacher will answer. the only response i ever get is that they both pull at each other, so logically that would make the sun eat us
    - iGreenDay November 16, 2010, 6:31 pm
basicly the earth for example is moveing at such a speed that it wants to stay in a direct line but since theres the gravity of say the sun keeping us basicly teathered to it we will just keep spinning rather then go flying off in some direction randomly, a good way to test this is to take a string attatch something to it like a rock and start swinging it in circles (do this outside btw and i take no responsiblity for broken things) but if u let go of the strig the rock willgo flying in a random direction thats what the suns gravityis to earth that string
    - drakenguard January 4, 2011, 4:55 pm
Right, I understood that always, but what I didn't get was the Earth pulling at the Sun. I totally get the whole thing, but I hate how teachers just say stuff to make themselves think they're teaching interesting things. I'm in 8th grade, let's hope to God I know the idea.

ok first of all with all the knowledge at our finger tips people become lazy and figure that someone else has already thought of it and there does not need to be done. and also they are working on almost all of the things listed but not every person can do it because not everyone has they ability.

I like not to think at all too :)

  • 1

You know what else is retarded? The game.

  • 1

o cool now i found out some scientists made element 117
it existed for a few hundredths of a second and then decayed into a series of lighter atoms as it threw off chunks of mass from its nucleus.

    the rest is at

    America is retarded...

I didn't need a 580x4833 pixel info-graphic to explain that, it was obvious already.

If we have UNLIMITED information, then why is the detailed instructions on eradicating cancer not included in the definition of unlimited? FAILURE.

    - Albane October 29, 2010, 8:25 am
hey we didnt invent the internet, its your problem.
    - DarkicoN13 October 29, 2010, 10:36 am
Don't you use the Internet? It seems to me it would be everyone's problem that uses it, not just the U.S.
    - buddyfoeva October 29, 2010, 11:38 am
He's glad he's canadian because nobody expects anything from canada except for the winter olympics.
    - drakengard85 October 29, 2010, 4:26 pm
You didn't invent it because you don't do anything but eat snow and drink booze. Eh. Your move.
    - Ertrov October 29, 2010, 8:21 pm

    - DarkicoN13 January 5, 2011, 4:30 pm
I know, I was just joking. I remember the first time I saw curling on the Olympics. I was like, "WTF is this broom game!?!?" (I'm from Texas.)
