There is no good nor evil, but simply the rules of morality placed by society. Like all animals, humans simply wish to live their lives fully to be happy and procreate. And, like wolves, we have found that staying in tightly knit groups--creating a society and eventually government--is very... beneficial to our species when it comes to fulfilling that goal of procreation. In order for one to remain in the groups, the individual found that committing acts which the "pack" did not approve of, he/she was shunned from the group.

This animalistic instinct to keep a pack eventually escalated in early civilization and formed the rules of morality (thanks to our MUCH more advanced brains).

Eh, I've explained it much better before... but that's one reason I became an Atheist. It all could be explained with scientific facts.
