PREAMBLE TO THE
CONSTITUTION
This is
probably the best e-mail I've seen in a long, long
time.. The following has been attributed to State
Representative Mitchell Kaye from
GA. This guy should run for
President one day...
"We
the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to
help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice,
avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive
behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to
ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby
try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines
for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional. We
hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of
people are confused by the Bill o f Rights and
are so dim they require a Bill of
NON-Rights."
ARTICLE
I: You
do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any
other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally
acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing
anything.
ARTICLE
II: You
do not have the right to never be offended. This country is
based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not
just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express
a different opinion, etc; but the world is full of idiots,
and probably always will be.
ARTICLE
III: You
do not have the right to be free from harm. If you
stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful;
do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your
relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE
IV: You
do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans
are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly
help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of
subsidizing generation after generation of professional
couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of
another generation of professional couch
potato.

V: You do
not have the right to free health care. That
would be nice, but from the looks of public housing,
we're just not interested in public health
care.

VI: You do
not have the right to physically harm other people. If you
kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't
be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the
electric chair..
ARTICLE
VII: You
do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you
rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other
citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get
together and lock you away in a place where you still
won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life
of leisure.

VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you
to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times,
but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of
education and vocational training laid before you to make
yourself useful. (AMEN!)

IX: You do
not have the right to happiness. Being an American means
that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the
way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over
abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were
confused by the Bill of Rights.

X: This
is an English speaking country. We don't care where you
are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to
wherever you came from!

If you

think it's about time common sense is allowed to

I agree with a few things, but not others. Particularly the comment about free health care. I'm from the UK where we have the NHS, i understand that Obama is trying to bring in an American NHS but everybody is slating him for it. I can't possibly understand why this is, what kind of idiots argue against having free healthcare? I can only assume the negative comments originated from whoever gains financially with your current setup there. It strikes me as incredibly ridiculous.
It's not free we have to pay for it. Or we could increase the deficate even more. Did u know that since January our deficate has tripled? We will have to pay for it. At least I will I have a job and pay taxes but the illegal immigrants who will be included in this healthcare won't. Holy crap that's sounds dumb to me.

Article 4: Many Americans are far from charitable. Changing the social norm of greed would be extremely beneficial to the country as a whole, and I think everyone should have the right to food... and life... just like our Declaration states.

Article 6-9: More or less ok with...
Article 10: NO. Ever heard of the Great American Melting Pot? It means accepting other cultures, not flipping the bird at their linguistic staple.
Article 11: Horrifically untrue. The founding fathers, as a whole, were either agnostic or deist, and designed America to NOT have a governmental bearing on religiosity. Originally our pledge said nothing about God. Our Constitution says nothing about God. Treaties we have signed explicitly deny ANY pact with a deity. This statement is pure ignorance.

This may surprise you but I disagree with many Christians who want Christian rules and traditions made law.
Ex. I just had a debate with my parents about gay marrige. They don't think it should be called marrige becuase marrige in the bible is between a man and a woman. You just can't do that. They wouldn't understand that this would cut both ways. If we didn't call marrige because it's against the bible we would have to do things because it's in the Koran.

Well it costs more because that is double the printing costs on signs. But as long as the govt doesn't require it I don't really care. But didn't you know that if you don't know English proficiently then you can not be a citizen?

Well that means if you don't know English you can't be a citizen so they aren't paying taxes but they still use our roads. Yet miniscule it is a burden on our country. That is why i think we should change our tax code to maybe a fair tax. I think that is what it is called. But if im mistaken i just would like to see the IRS dismanteled. Our tax code is way to complex. If we just took away income taxes but increased sales taxes then even illegals would pay taxes. Maybe we could still have some sort of an income tax but nowhere near as much as it is now. Finnaly if you aren't here legally then GTFO.

3. What would you do if you were impoverished in Mexico, your family was here, you were on the brink of death with no support net, and immigration wouldn't let you over? Would you really sit it out and choose to die? You must remember empathy, sir.

So why should they have the same rights as US citizens? Also another way they burden our tax system:
an illegal immgrant couple comes to America. They have a child and he/she is a citizen because they are born here. They don't teach this child English so when that child goes to school the state has to pay extra money to teach that child English and have a translator so that the child doesn't fall behind.

"All Men are created equal" according to the declaration, not all American men. Why would anyone EVER assume that since someone is not American they are lesser peoples?
And I don't care if it burdens our tax system! It's about basic human rights, and I'm willing to let the entirety of our country fail as long as it upholds these. Which, currently, it does not.

So we uphold a criminal's rights even though it damns an entire nation? And I never said they were lesser people. But you can't take up every charity case. So why don't you sell your house, car, and all material possesions and give it all to charity? Just give all the money you make to charity exculding enough for food and only just enough to get by.
It just doesn't make sense. If we were to do this we would colapse as a country and how would that be fair to all the hard-working, law-abiding citizens ahí nos will live worse than people live in Mexico now. That would defy those people's human rights.

You people need to understand that while it is nice to be charitable people don't have to be and the NHS would be forcing wealthier people to give up the luxuries they earned to pay for someone else's healthcare and in the real world you fend for yourself and your family not everyone!!!!!!!!!
Please don't say the real world, this is only really the case in America (ignoring nations that are unable to provide universal healthcare (the majority of Africa)), other countries care about their people's health.
So it'd be more accurate to say that in the real world there is equality and just because somebody doesn't earn much money they don't deserve to die.

I think that America is lazy in the sense that most americans only speak American English and it just makes us look bad that we expect everybody else to speak english. The whole language system needs to be over-hauled; I'd like to see a higher percentage of multi-lingual population in the next ten years, but the possibility of that happening is slim to none
Japanese is harder to learn than English.......You can already speak English, I'm talking about speaking English and another language like Spanish,French, or German. Your not really getting the point. America is seen as a bunch of jackasses b/c that we think that everybody should speak English WORLD-WIDE. I agree with you that whoever lives in the U.S. should speak English b/c its the primary language. The school systems aren't helping with the way they teach either; the cram-it-down-your-throat repetition style that they use is not effective.
go on a trip and see a different country(European or Asian) and you will see the pros and cons of american society compared to most of the world(there are a lot of shithole countries hence 'most') you will realize what is wrong with our country..........................Your point on the Italian man is valid, but I believe that Americans are a little worse with that than most.......English is a hogpog(spell check HA-ja PAH-ja) of languages(and I agree that it is difficult to learn as a second language), but japanese and chinese still(in my mind) are harder to learn as a second language.
does cheating include making large bets on things that you know are going to be in your favor against people dumb enough to take the bet.
