the marines are some of the best! my Great Grandfather served in WWII on Guadalcanal. thank you for dedicating this post to them! i also have many other family members who have served in the marines and a few who have served in the army and navy.

The greatest fighting force in America perhaps. But then again, you have the Green Berets.
    Spetsnaz ftw! Just sayin'.

just remember its always the green force vs blue force... its fine to have the army and marines go at it, but let an air force or navy person get involved, and it can get ugly...

well, both are nice to know! regardless of what branch he served in, i would say thank you if i ever met him. even if it was compulsory service. these men and women have always helped their respective country, note to everyone, i am referencing every person who has ever served in any branch of any armed services, to better itself, whether or not that worked out well, thats a different story. point is, these men and women are doing and have done things that i could probably never do. i know it id probably TL;DR, so a summary, thanks to all the servicemen and women from every country for ever!

In the real scheme of things, Army and Marines do the exact same job(Infantry). It's just the mission of the Army and Marines are slightly different.

The Marines are Waaaaay more disciplined than the Army though and there is alot less whining that goes on.

depends on the unit... my unit has enough discipline, we could give some to the rest of the army, and still be above the standard of the rest of them...
