Well i do have some heritage linking to Iceland ive always wanted to go to places of my ancestors that would be one stop...and most of the economies of the world are in turmoil
well my advice is to get here as soon as possible, and if you want i can tell you about some beautiful places i have seen here and recommend for you

Gullfoss is a beautiful waterfall (gull means gold and foss means waterfall, making it *the golden waterfall*?) and often has huge rainbows stretching over it
if you are ready to pay for riding a bus for hours and hours, with a lot of other tourists, i suggest to do it!
these buses most often go to many beautiful places, and if you just sit and watch the landscape from your seat, i can guarantee that you will be amazed :)
a popular tourist site is Landmannalaugar (landmanlagoons i would think is the direct translation) where people can go and enjoy natural hot springs and a mountain with a great view from the top! When i first went there it felt like i was in a really well done huge painting of a landscape, only much more amazing. Also, in Landmannalaugar, you can go horseback riding in a valley that has many small rivers and a great view of mountains and other stuff, and i personally found that the top of the trip was when the horses went across the rives and my feet got wet XD

a popular tourist site is Landmannalaugar (landmanlagoons i would think is the direct translation) where people can go and enjoy natural hot springs and a mountain with a great view from the top! When i first went there it felt like i was in a really well done huge painting of a landscape, only much more amazing. Also, in Landmannalaugar, you can go horseback riding in a valley that has many small rivers and a great view of mountains and other stuff, and i personally found that the top of the trip was when the horses went across the rives and my feet got wet XD
also, there is the Blue Lagoon, that requires no bus rides for hours, i am kindof tired of writing now, so herewww.bluelagoon.com/
