the round was too hot and capped, too much powder and the bullet was too tight in the casing. The only ammo types I buy in bulk now a days are 5.56 and .22 the rest are all heavily tested hand loads.
you have a gun?
gimmie gimmie gimmiee!!!!!!!!!!

cartridge(rifle) ammunition consists of the casing, bullet, primer and propellant. spending $20 for 20 rounds is $1 per round(obviously). casings normally come in packs of 25,50, or 100. its roughly $50 for 100 casings in 30-06 caliber. primers are $4 for 100, powder is $30 for 1lb(7000 grains) and bullets are anywhere from $20 for 100 up to $120 for 25.(i pay $30 for 100) that should equal roughly 75 cents a cartridge(sometimes less) buying pre loaded ammunition is sometimes cheaper and faster than the components and reloading the shells yourself. personally for me it's cheaper to pay $1 per round and re-use the casings 4 times for 5 shots per cartridge. and naturally the larger the caliber the more expensive to reload. i get roughly 140-180 rounds out of 1lb of powder in my 30-06 vs the 100 max i can get out of 1lb for my 300 rem ultra mag.
wow.. you are good at explaining things
well.. guns seem to be your hobby
what do you shoot at? or do you like hunt?
what do you do for a living?
yes i ask so many questions.. feel free to ignore any XD

Yeah that's how I see it with my ARs and small cals. You burn through so much it's not worth reloading, but the 308 and 223 I can use in 3 different guns so It's worth reloading. And reloading helps a lot when you can't find a good 280 round anywhere.
very true, fortunately since i can "acquire" 308 and 223 from work some days that cuts down on ammo costs... 30 round mag? 30 seconds ish? 4 more months till i can apply for my class III firearms license and start collecting full-autos first up is a M249 or M240B(or 240C)
Yeah a whole new area of hardware opens when you get a class 3, which is the only reason I'm allowed to have the amount of hardware I have where I live. I would love to get my hands on a 240 bravo but I'm pretty content with what I have and I'm not allowed by my GF to buy a third safe so I'm SOL.
well.. don't use guns anymore?
and how the hell did you get them mixed up?! arent they like different shapes and sizes?

lol... caliber changes the size, if you reload 50 shells chambered in 30-06 2 times and get them mixed up with 50 shells chambered in 30-06 that have been reloaded 4 times you get a half/half mix that you cant tell apart easily. also, guns are my life. i'll stop shooting when someone shoots me
:( i wish i can have one XD
or atleast go shoot somewhere or hunt
